Cut Cody's Complicated Surgery Cost

Saved from potential cancer... Cody came from KAPS, fostered by Sara and now adopted. At KAPS, his time was running out as he had lost a significant about of weight, caught a cold, and refused to eat. The manager called me and said "he has to get out of the shelter tonight, or he is likely not to make it thru the night." Sara was planning to meet him in two days, but we had to adjust our plans. A host of people made it happen and we got him safely to Sara's home.

Now he needs another host of people to help him overcome one more obstacle.

Since that time he has thrived under Sara's care. It hasn't been easy getting him healthy. In order **to continue fostering, foster homes must recoup most or all of their vetting cost; this is usually done thru adoption fees.** Unfortunately, Cody had an expected complication during his neuter surgery. Apparently, his testicles never dropped and he was two years old. This means without the surgery he would have likely developed cancer.

This is exactly what happened to this small fry.

Sara,fronted the surgery cost, as it was not her responsibility to do so, and typically sterilization is the adopters' responsibility. However, to prevent any further complications she went ahead with the surgery. This has now put a strain on the foster home. Therefore, WE NEED YOUR HELP. Yes, this isn't an emergency, but if you help Cody (no donation is too small) then you will still be saving a life and providing a future for him and the next one Sara fosters!
