So many people have helped in so many different ways that a simple thank you doesn't seem to quite cut it, but I guess it's a start...
To all the animal-lovers who donated funds and kind wishes to Cara, her puppies and myself, you made the whole ordeal possible! As you all know, it can get a bit pricey looking after pets, and I was feeling the crunch before Cara and her puppies came along- if there had not been such a positive response from the ARK members, I would not have felt comfortable keeping Cara, and she may have ended up back at the shelter.
Now, Cara is a happy and healthy girl who was I think quite relieved to send her boys out into the world! Ralph and Eddie have been successfully adopted and I have high hopes for Bob. Four dogs are alive and well and bringing people joy all because of the people who donated to this cause.
Below is the final list of donations and donators. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for helping us through!!
Dan B- 20,000 won
Michelle L- 50,000 won
Mikyoung P- 50,000 won
Anonymous- 25,000 won (please let me know who you are!! On my passbook, the name is in Hangeul, and it looks like it says Kyla)
Ailie M- Dog pen and several puppy toys
Rob S- 35,000 won
Tatiana H- 50,000 won
Daisy B- 20,000 won
Emily- 50,000 won

In this picture, you can see how big her belly is getting! The vet thinks that there will be "many" puppies...

Wow! She is so lucky to be out of the shelter and in a quieter space to give birth, but poor you. That's a lot of dogs :(
Is Cara going to be up for adoption after the pups are weaned?
If she is, then I think you should start an adoption profile for her now. Just mark in the description the approximate date that she will be ready to go to a forever home (so due date + however long the pups will need to stay with her). Then you can also check "Foster Home Needed" and put an "URGENT" in the title, so she will be on the Animals For Foster list.
When she finds a new foster home we can switch the adoption listing over to the new foster mom.
Just out of curiosity, how long was she at Karama? Maybe she got pregnant on the street or wherever she was living before getting to the shelter? Poor girl.

Hi Karen- Yes, Cara will be up for adoption as soon as she is ready, so I'll make up a profile for her right away. I'm not sure how long she was at the shelter, but she was on the last pages of the Karama web site when I found her, which I think means she was there for a little while.
Thanks for your help, Karen!

Hi Megs! She really is a sweetie! I'm actually kind of falling in love with her, but I know there's a much better home for her out there. Maybe yours?.. ; )

Cara and the pups seem to be doing quite well and will be going for a check up early in the week to make sure things are as they should be. Here's a few pictures of the beautiful little family!! Please keep in mind that all of the puppies and Cara herself will be up for adoption as soon as the puppies are weaned.

UPDATE: Cara and her brood seem to be doing alright, and the puppies had their one-week birthday yesterday. Cara has been going to the vet daily for anti-biotics (or something) and to have her incision checked out, and the vet seems to be satisfied with her healing. The puppies include three boys and one girl, and they look pretty poodley although I have no idea what kind of dog their father was. Here are a few more pictures of the kids...

They do look pretty poodle-y. I bet they're going to be super cute in a few weeks! (sorry, I think infants look like aliens -especially rats).

Thanks Clare! And sorry, everyone for taking so long to update! Turns out I can remember to go to the bank to check, but generally I can't remember to bring my bankbook with me!! I'm going to make a list in the orginal posting of donations and donators, and for everyone who has been following Cara's story and contributing to the well-being of her and her pups, I cannot thank you enough!!
Right now, I am at 145,000 won with generous donations from Mikyoung, Michelle, Dan, and one other kind soul who remains anonymous to me at this time (whoever you are, please let me know so I can properly thank you!).
Thanks so much you guys!! You are really helping us out!!

Some sad news... Due to my own unbelieveable stupidity, one of the puppies passed away tonight. The one and only girl and the first to open her eyes.
I'm so sorry little one.

The puppies celebrated their month birthday by breaking in their puppy play pen (generously donated by Ailie M.!). When I was unpacking the play pen from the box, I discovered all kinds of other goodies that Angel Ailie had included in the package!! All of these items will most certainly be used and are greatly appreciated!!!
