Purrfect Pumpkin

Update: February 7, 2013
Pumpkin is happy and well! He is much quieter and neater with his litter! He loves to sleep under the covers with us and purrs "on command"! He loves to play with our cat, Soju, and with his toys. He does let us know when his food dish is getting low. He is much quieter than when he first came to us. He prefers Purina Cat Chow and doesn't like soft food or cat treats. We are moving to Busan at the end of the month and he will be making the move with us. I hope it doesn't affect him too much. He has had so many changes in so little time that it's hard to imagine how he has adapted so well! He still hates to have his nails clipped so we do one paw at a time. I'm sure that over time he will become more trusting. We love him so much! He never nips or scratches, so I think he would be good with kids. He responds to a quick "no" when scratching and diverts his attention to his scratch post. He is a wonderful cat and friend! I hope he finds his forever family someday soon!

Update: December 17, 2012
Pumpkin and Soju are now the best of friends! They chase each other around the apartment and eat together. Pumpkin is very easy-going and friendly. He loves to sit on my lap (though he's a bit too big and I have to wrap my arms around him to make sure he doesn't just slide off!) and cuddle up close on the bed. He's a messy litter box user though. We're working with him on this issue!

Pumpkin is an absolute dear! He's quiet, calm, and affectionate. All he needs is a window and cuddles!

Unfortunately, Pumpkin's housing situation has become URGENT overnight. :'(
He needs a new home by this weekend... I volunteered to foster him, but Pumpkin couldn't handle living with my dog, so he went to live with a friend. My friend needs him out of the house by this weekend! Please open your hearts and doors to this wonderful guy.
Pumpkin is a cat person's cat. Do you like the sound of purs? And meows sounding through your apartment? Then you're a Pumpkin kind of person. He's so sweet and curious. He'll watch you and comment on your actions. He'll sneak off to nap in a warm place then come running up for some pets and cuddles. He's a great lap warmer and snuggle buddy. He is perfectly content looking lazily out the window. But, the fireworks really go off for him when there's attention and head/chin scritches to be doled out. He REALLY needs a permanent home, but can manage with a foster until his one and only mom/dad comes along. PLEASE consider him as this is definitely URGENT!

Let me tell you a little bit about this pur ball. (Get it?!) Pumpkin is an affectionate talkative cat who LOVES being pet, cuddled, rubbed, fed and groomed. He's partial to cardboard and scratching posts and anything yummy. I've been told that he's friendly with other kitties (and have definitely experienced him NOT getting along with dogs) but I'm willing to bet he'd be most comfortable in a home where he's the prized pet and the only one to get lovins'. He takes a little while to settle down and become comfortable in new surroundings, but once he is, he wants nothing to do with those weird sounds and funny smells, and everything to do with laying by you and purring. He even comes when you call him! Sweet, right? Because of his spat with my pup, he's currently being held at my friends apartment, who is willing to give him a warm place to chill while I find another foster home, or better yet a PERMANENT home- but she CANNOT keep him for much longer. If you're thinking, "I'd love to adopt him, but it takes so much money to buy all the cat stuff needed." FEAR NOT! He comes with 2 collars, a carrying kennel, a blanket, food, litter, a litter box, a kitty brush, and a brush to get hair off you! How in the heck can this cat get any better? Oh yeah... he's BEAUTIFUL! He has the most wonderful orange swirls all over him and a cute orange moustache to boot! Everyone loves moustaches and cats... you'll have a cat WITH a moustache when you adopt this guy. So what are you waiting for? Download the adoption form and send it in!

Very affectionate cat, loves attention, doesn't bite or scratch, eats about anything, and gets along ok with other cats.
What to know more about Pumpkin?
1) He is super affectionate.
2) He purrs almost constantly and loves just sitting and cuddling.
3) He is usually right next to you or in your lap and he likes sleeping next to you.
4) He can be vocal when he's hungry or lonely but he's not aggressive.
5) He will 'love bite' sometimes when you pet him but he purrs the entire time.
6) His tails also flicks a lot even when he's happy.
7) He eats whatever food you give him but if you change it to a new brand he'll avoid it for a few days until he gets really hungry and then he's fine.
8) He doesn't play much, toys don't interest him but he likes the red dot every once in a while.
9) He sleeps on chairs and beds.
10) He has a habit of digging in his liter for several minutes even if it's clean, because of it he has a big plastic bin with high sides so he doesn't kick the liter everywhere.
11) He loves to scratch posts.
12) He's very soft and keeps himself clean.

Health status: about 2 yrs, healthy, fixed, vaccinated, worm free and ear mite free.
Rescue story: was rescued from the street.
Location: in foster care in Seoul.

Fuzz face's foster mom has to be out of her apt on the 24th of November, and then she will leave Korea on the 27th. Please consider fostering the little guy. It would be too bad, if he would have to go to the shelter. In November!
