3.23.13: Domino was adopted today by a local woman. We are so happy for him and wish him all the best!
Domino has been living with us in our apartment for about a month now, and what an eventful month it has been! He had some medical issues that we've been taking care of and we got him neutered, but he has been a real trooper throughout it all and his amazing personality has really shown through the whole time. He is such an affectionate cat; he loves to sleep in bed with you and cuddle, and also to play. One of his favorite occupations is seeking out the highest places in our apartment and climbing them for a good nap, and the other is nuzzling his nose against your hands for pets and attention. We would love to keep fostering him for as long as is necessary, but our time in Korea is coming to an end in a month and a half, so we need to find him a forever home - or at least another fostering situation - before the end of March.
A note on his medical issues: the vet diagnosed Domino with FLUTD (feline lower urinary tract disease), which he treated with medication that Domino is currently taking and should be finishing within in a week or so. He is also on a special diet of dry food that is recommended for cats with FLUTD, which he should eat for another month or two. We are requesting help fundraising for the costs of his medical treatments thus far. Please visit his fundraising page here (http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/blog/jennyandkeith/please-help-raise-fu...) if you can help out...every little bit makes a difference.
Here are a few cute videos of him playing below (one of his favorite toys is the Domino's pizza box ribbon):
1/9/13: We brought Domino home from the vet's with us to foster him yesterday. The vet was overwhelmed with 11 new cats, and Domino had been there the longest, and was getting quite cranky about it. He has settled in quite nicely in our apartment; his favorite activities include lazing about on the warmest spots on the floor and nudging his face against his new people for pets and love.
It is very easy to love this cat. But we cannot keep him forever, so if you are interested in providing this loving cat a forever home, please send an email our way! We'll tell you more about him, and I'm sure you'll love him instantly, just like we did.
