Help James find her happy ending! Yes, that's right. James is a girl! This little girl got her name when I first saw her living out on the streets and I (rudely!) assumed she was a boy. The name stuck and now this sweet lady needs a loving forever family.
James had a pretty rough year living on the streets. She was a house cat who was adopted at a young age by her former owner. Sadly, James slipped out of the house only a few days before her owner planned to move to America and when he was unable to find her he left, leaving James to fend for herself outside. She is not a street smart kitty and I often would see her sitting outside in the rain crying. I tried for months and months to catch her, but unfortunately her ordeal had made her skittish and scared (and understandably so!) After almost a year on the streets and thankfully right before winter set in, I was able to catch her and she has been recovering in my home every since.
She is a GORGEOUS 3 year old, spayed kitty with soft white fur and striking blue eyes. She is still trying to get over her time on the streets so at the moment she is shy and reserved. Over the last few months, she has really started to open up and bond with me, my husband and our dog, Ralf. She loves tummy rubs, sleeping under blankets and watching TV on our laps. She is litter trained, a good eater, healthy and does not destroy furniture or anything else. She is looking for a family that will love her forever and will be willing to give her time to love them. She has come a long way, but she still has a way to go before she can fully trust people again. She would be a great, low-key family member for someone who is willing to show her a little extra TLC and patience.
My husband and I will be leaving in March to go home to America, so James is also in need of a new foster home that will be willing to help her come out of her shell. Please contact me if you think James is right for you!
