Great news! Lady has been adopted! She will be going to her new home on March 15th. I couldn't be happier. After everything she's been through she finally has a forever home to call her own.
Lady has now been living with me almost two months! I can barely believe it. I don't have enough good things to say about her. She is very patient with my kitten Bella who would play 24/7 if you let her. She was also good at keeping Bella occupied and distracted during her now two heat cycles :( (Not to worry Bella's surgery is scheduled for January 6th) Lady has had somewhat of a rough past: living on the streets for the beginning part of her life, having one (or maybe more) litter(s) of kittens, living in 2? foster homes. That being said she really is a lovely cat. She is now starting to come out of her shell with me and picking the best spots to cuddle and lay by me. She lets me pet her more often and for longer. She is nice to guests, curious but she isn't skittish at all. She does get nervous at the vet (some hissing and scratching) but many cats are this way so I'm not worried. Lady deserves a loving, patient, permanent home to call her own. I sincerely hope her next home will be her forever home. She deserves it! Don't pass up on Lady. Over a 1000 views so far! Let me know if you are interested.
Do you want to adopt a cat but are worried about initial medical costs for vaccines and spaying? Meet Lady: she is spayed and vaccinated. Her vet costs from here on out will be quite low. Worried about having a kitten? Adult cats are much more laid back than rambunctious kittens. Already have a cat and worried if Lady will fit in? She has become quite the lovely big sister to my 5 month old kitten Bella (seen in some of the pictures).
From Lady's rescuer: Meet Lady, a young adult calico cat. She is about 1 and ½ to 2 years old and is fairly small; about 8-9 pounds. Lady was brought into my clinic as a stray, and she had three young kittens in tow. Lady was fed and looked after by a "good Samaritan" before, during, and after she gave birth to the kittens. That person decided to bring her to the clinic in order to give Lady and her kittens the best possible chance at forever homes.
Lady LOVES food and is definitely treat motivated. She is very sweet to everyone and loves getting pets and snuggles. She is litter box trained and is trained to retract her claws when playing (or even when she's irritated with you).
Lady is a fairly relaxed cat. She loves to be pet and played with, but is also content with just lounging around on her own. She would be perfect for someone who works a lot but still wants the joys of owning a pet. I believe that Lady would do well around other cats, but wouldn't mind being the only cat as well. That being said, Lady cannot go into a house with small pets, i.e. mice, rats, rabbits, hamsters, ferrets, and other small rodent type creatures. Lady is a hunter because she had to be, so I would like to not chance placing her in a home with smaller animals. I also believe that Lady would not fare too well with dogs. She seemed really scared of them when they are around, so I don't want her to go to a home where she won't feel comfortable.
Lady is currently updated on all of her vaccines, is microchipped with an ISO compliant microchip (meaning it will work worldwide!), and has tested negative on her FeLV/FIV/Heartworm test (Yay!). Lady has also been spayed, so she is all ready for her new home!
Lady has been in foster care for almost 6 months and has been doing pretty well. However, due to circumstances beyond every ones control, Lady needs to find a new foster home, or better yet a Furever home ASAP!

** Update November 16, 2013** (from me, Laura, her current foster mom)
I have taken over fostering Lady. She is a beautiful cat inside and out. Her appearance is striking and she is very sweet and playful. This is the third day I've had her and already she is settling in and getting the courage to meet my other cat Bella and explore the rest of the apartment. I'll keep updating, she really is a lovely cat!

I'm happy to report that Lady is fully integrated in my home. She and my cat Bella get along well. They sleep together now and they like to play with each other. It took exactly a week for them to become friends. Sometimes this process can take longer but both cats are young and have similar temperaments. I'll be taking Lady to the vet tomorrow for a check up and to see if she needs heartworm prevention. She is very smart (she can open doors by herself if they have a flat handle). She isn't shy and happily sat on my friend's lap when he visited.

She had a check up today. She is a healthy 4 kg (8.8 lbs). She got some heartworm prevention. She did get a little freaked out at the vet (a little hissing and scratching) but there were a couple of dogs one that was barking constantly. She calmed right down when we got back home and was her normal self in no time.

This is what Lady's foster mum (her first foster mom) had to say about Lady:
"Lady loves to be around people and is constantly 'adopting' every person who walks into my home. She loves to play and is very engaging. Her favorite spot in my home is at the window, overlooking the street below...and also a 5000 won bathroom mat I got at Daiso. She'd be great with kids in that sense because she's not a 'sit-around' cat. Lady also likes to sleep in the bed with me."
Lady is still waiting for a home of her very own :/ Please give this young girl a chance! She is great with people of all ages and would make a wonderful addition to any family without dogs or small animals.
If you or someone you know can give lovely Lady the forever home she deserves, please send in a COMPLETE APPLICATION to the email listed on the contact button.

Her situation was urgent because she was living in a vet clinic in Uijeongbu. A majority of the animals that I post are from the same clinic :)

Does she still need a foster home? It seems her status has been "very urgent" for some time.
