~~ A brave but sweet 3-4 week old kitten is soon going to be looking for a good home ~~
Moopia's Story:
I found a baby kitten on the street with no mother in sight. His eyes were coated in grime and he couldn't see. He seemed hungry and thirsty and ran to my husband and me while meeowing - I guess he thought that we might be his mother cat. I think he was running towards any sound that he could hear. Because he couldn't see, he walked into a wall, and fell into a water dish that I tried to offer to him. I guess that he is too young to drink on his own although he is already growing some teeth. My husband and I couldn't leave him there because he was in bad shape, so young, and seemed so sweet! We got a cardboard box, put him inside, and brought him to a vet near our house in Mokdong. The vet guesses that the cat is just three or four weeks old and thinks that something must have happened to his mother. The vet cleaned the grime off of his eyes and put some eye drops in. He says that the cat is in poor condition at the moment but should be fine after some care.
Moopia's current situation:
We claimed ownership of the cat and named him "무피어, or Moopia." "Moopia" is Konglish for "Fearless" ("mu" as in the hanja character for "no" and "pia" as in "fear"). We gave him this name because he kept fearlessly walking towards us and although he is in poor shape, he kept trying to climb out of the box while at the vet's office. Other than his fearless quality, I don't know much about Moopia's personality yet. He is in boarding at the vet's office for now and my husband and I have claimed ownership. The vet will bottle feed him every two hours, check for any diseases, check his eyes and check his ears. I want to adopt Moopia myself but I am allergic to cats so I don't think that this would be wise. After his initial check ups, I intend to visit Moopia at the vet's office to pet him as much as possible so that I can help him to socialize. He's not scared of humans at all.
I will keep Moopia's profile up to date and let you know when he is all fixed up and certifiably healthy! I'll upload photos at that time as well. If you are looking to adopt a cat who needs a home and love and don't want to miss the kitten phase when cats are EXTRA adorable - please consider Moopia! If you have any questions or are interested, please call, e-mail, or text me! Thank you so much!
