Legend was given to us by the pet shop because he and his brother both had Ringworm. So, he is a pure Siamese kitten. He is very playful and does well with our older kitty, Petey. He is curious and loves to be social. I would recommend him being placed in a home with another cat either his age or a little older. He absolutely CRAVES attention. He gets fed twice a day and will let you know when you're running late. Other than that he's pretty quiet.
He loves to sleep under the covers with you and when it's time to sleep he's there to soak up some of your heat. Very sweet and kind.
Litter trained.
His ringworm should be cleared up and cured in a week or two.
His isn't neutered and has only received one of his vaccination shots. It's not because we're lazy but because the vet didn't want to add too much to his system while he is healing from ringworm. He shows no signs of any other diseases and we WILL get him vaccinated and up to date if he isn't adopted soon.
We are giving him up only because we already have Petey and have decided to keep his brother. His brother, Myth, needs extra attention and medical care so we just can't part with him yet. Parting with Legend has been a difficult decision but we both know it is a good one. Three cats is just too much for our little apartment. We hope he finds a loving and safe home where he can play and explore to his little heart's content.

He is good with older kids...younger ones might pull his tail which he might take offense to. Not sure how he would react but he's pretty playful so he might see it as an invitation to play.

Where did that pet shop get the kittens from? Hope this won't be a repeating situation (I mean, the shop getting more kittens with infection or something and then simply giving them away rather than treat them). Lucky for these kittens they found a great foster home to get them back to good health.

They have the mother and father. Usually I wouldn't shop there but we were short on time and my kitty needed food. When we jokingly asked how much they were we were told "free" because of the ringworm (and later we found out the other medical problems with Myth). They were costing the shop money. The owner is actually friendly (from what my boyfriend says) and we have remained in contact with him. I can't really see past the disgusting pet shop habits to be more than pleasant with the man but I think keeping up the relationship might help us in the future should something like this happen again.
I hope this isn't a repeat. This is the first time in a year and a half that i've been here that I saw kittens in the window. Needless to say, if the parents are up for foster I'll be taking them in too. Anything to get them into a better home.

I doubt the siamese parents will be given away. They are the breeders, so unless one is very ill or has a condition that interferes with this or an expensive illness, the shop will keep them and sell the kittens. The parents are owned by someone else so there's nothing you can do. That's a source of their income, like farmers keeping pigs. But at least it doesn't sound like the shop operators are running, or buying from, an intensive breeding mill, since you said you haven't seen kittens there often. However, I was wondering if the parents are not all that well or properly treated to prevent contagious diseases or parasites. A healthy disease and parasite-free mother cat should pass on good immunity to her kittens so there should be less chance of unhealthy kittens. Ringworm isn't that bad though, compared to other things the kittens could have had. You don't say what problems Myth has so I don't know if there's a genetic factor or something due to inbreeding, unrelated to the conditions they were living in.

the parents look healthy so I'm not too worried about them right now. Myth has problems but we are not exactly sure what they are. The vet said he might have FIP but would retest him when the ringworm is cleared. He was so freaking skinny the doctor couldn't get a good blood sample from him to test for other diseases. Since the FIP can be determined by a stool sample (FUN TIMES) and by an educated guess the Vet is waiting. We all HOPE he doesn't have FIP since it is a fatal disease that can take his life next week, next year, or in ten years. It all depends.
Thankfully Myth has been gaining weight and energy. He still can't keep up with his brother and Petey but he gives it his all. This also means he gets extra cuddle time since he gets pooped out so quickly. I'm keeping positive and hoping that he's just the "runt" and is just developing at a slower rate. He eats like a beast, now. Before Legend would let Myth eat first (since he ate so little) but now it's an all out battle to see who gets what. Ha haa. We had to separate them to make sure one wasn't getting more than the other.
The living conditions for the adults is small but whenever i pass the shop they always have food and water. They don't look stressed--just bored. They have a scratching post, maybe a toy, and a shelf to perch on but little to no room to play.
I don't think they work directly through a breeding mill but they did tell my boyfriend that if he wanted a specific breed of anything (dog or cat) they could get it for him :(

Legend has been adopted by a wonderful guy who has A LOT of experience with Siamese kitties. I'm so happy for them both!
