Description:

5/3: Luna has been adopted together with her sister!

A little more about Luna, because I've had her for almost three months, and I don't think her previous profile does her justice.

Luna is indeed a very shy kitten. The first week I had her, she hid a lot and cowered away from me. If I held my hand out to her, she would flinch away. I don't know exactly what happened to her on the streets, but I suspect that some people were not kind to her. But she was never aggressive--never tried to bite or attack me if I approached. She would just flinch and run away.

She has improved as she has lived with me. She's still not cuddly, but she likes to stretch out on the floor near my chair and watch what I am doing (unlike her sister, who, if not looking for attention, will disappear entirely). And she likes being petted on occasion, mostly when she is very sleepy. She may not be the kind of kitten who comes up to rub your leg to say hello, but I have noticed over time that she is extremely communicative in her own way, at her distance. She is shy and afraid, but she is still interested in what is happening. She hangs around the door with her sister and my cat, now to greet me when I come home from work, and she'll meow at me. She can be quite a talker. She's not noisy or howling, but she is vocal. She is also quite a kisser--with cat kisses!

She's extremely well behaved and never gets into the trouble that my cat and Lida do. The life of the explorer is not for her; she's content with observing. And she loves scratching posts (actually, making sure to scratch one of the scratch boards is part of her routine to greet me--wait at the door, meow, run to the scratch board, then come back and meow again)...and not my furniture.

Luna has always loved to play. She loves to play with her sister and my cat, but she also is happy to play with me. Playtime was always the one time that she wasn't frightened of me.

She and her sister were here on ARK when they were rescued from the streets of Jeonju. I volunteered to foster them in order to prevent them from returning to those streets, but I cannot keep them myself. I have my own cat that I have already committed to. These two sisters are approximately three months old at this time, and, other than a mite infection that I have had treated, appear to be in good health.

April 8th: Luna is still looking for a home.

April 16th: Luna is still looking for her forever home.

my husband and I are interested in both Luna and Lida. Do they have their shots and are they spade?

They are both spayed. They have not received their shots. When my cat received his first round of shots, there were several different shots, spaced out over about 8 weeks. I don't know if all vets do the same order like that (I assume, but I don't know), and I'd hate for the kittens to completely miss a shot because they moved into a new home and new vet in the middle of the vaccination series. They have received anti-worm cream.

Noel and I live in Naju, I know I have seen clinics around the city. Where are you living? do you know the distance from Gwangju?

I live in Gumi, which is in the Daegu area. I don't know the exact distance from Gwangju, only that it is pretty far (3 hours by bus or so? maybe 3 1/2, and I'm pretty sure they are on different train routes).
