*5/24 UPDATE: ADOPTION PENDING*
Gavroche is one of a littler of six kittens brought to our vet by Animal Rescue. They were all going to be euthanized, but our vet called us to see if we could help and luckily we found foster homes for four and my husband and I were able to foster him and his sister, Eponine. When I first saw them they were huddled together in a cage, growling, hissing, spitting, and scared out of their minds! My first thought was "this might actually be impossible." But we thought if we could split up the group working with them would be much easier. Plus they're only ~6wks old. After everyone else went to their foster homes, Gavroche and Eponine completely changed. We've only had them for five days and they have completely warmed up to people. They roll over for belly rubs and purr as soon as you touch them. They took a nap on the bed with me yesterday- right next to my face : ) Gavroche loves rubbing up/ leaning up against you. They are very, very, sweet and affectionate- even more so than some our previous foster kittens that were familiar with people. Our vet just got some more kittens that we would like to help, so hopefully we can find a foster home or forever home for them soon. Ideally, Eponine and Gavroche would be adopted/fostered together- they are quite attached. Gavroche cries when he loses sight of her for even a moment! I am having trouble uploading photos- will try again later. If you are interested in adopting/fostering her I can email some to you also : )
