Daisy Cat needs a home within 3 weeks!
This past week my wife and I rescued the sweetest kitten we have ever met. She was calling out incessantly in our apartment area for someone to scoop her up and feed her. After just a few days it was decided that we would be taking her with us to Taiwan, where we will begin new jobs and new lives and plan to settle in for the long-haul. Daisy became very attached to us, and us to her.
We took her to the vet, who deemed her quite healthy aside from a fungal rash on the bridge of her nose and same slight damage to a toe pad on her hind paw. Both are clearing up beautifully with the medicine and ointment we were given. She's been groomed, and is set to be vaccinated on Tuesday. We've got her on a healthy diet of kitten food, and she is fattening up nicely compared to the skin-and-bones frame she had when we rescued her. She's approximately 7 months old.
Please understand, we DESPERATELY want to keep this cat...we have come to love her dearly...but we have just made the crushing realization that Taiwan's quarantine laws make it impossible to bring her at this late stage. We have only 3 weeks before we are set to leave the peninsula, and she would have had to have been vaccinated 180 days prior, with a blood sample and documentation in advance. This was never a question of financial commitment, as my wife and I were more than able to pay whatever fees were necessary. We honestly did not foresee the outrageously strict quarantine policies of Taiwan, due to it being a rabies free zone. The timing is horrible.
Daisy cat is friendly, cuddly, energetic and playful, loves to be around you, loves to be in your lap, and just loves having a loving home. She was litter trained the day we met her. She has abandonment issues, so she doesn't like being alone, but can handle it after mewing for a short time, and gets quiet really fast when she's comfortable.
I am FULLY committed to finding this little girl the best possible, permanent home! I will travel to ANY CITY in the peninsula if it means finding her a loving person to look after her. I can't stress how hard this is for me to have to give her up, but I REFUSE to put her in a shelter. I have the time, and the means, to go to any city by train, to meet with the person willing to adopt her.
We are accepting 75,000won adoption fee, which is negotiable, and will give over all of Daisy's belongings in the process. This cat deserves to continue living in a healthy, loving, and fun environment. Please do not hesitate to contact me directly at any time of the day, should you be interested in giving Daisy a new home!
We have more pictures and videos to share, so contact us for all of those! I've posted some vids on the Facebook page, so check those out too!
