Bud - Lil' Heartbreaker

Look who finally found their forever family!!!! Bud finally met the Pike family over the weekend. We are so excited that he now has the energy of two young boys to keep him entertained instead of the old-loser-grandma he has been living with in foster care! He is now an international dog having family and homes in South Korea and Canada - lucky guy!

Please continue to advocate for Bud's brothers and sister who still need foster and forever homes!

Bud is doing really well. He has had just two pee accidents in 6 days. He is holding his bathroom for 7.5 hours without a problem. Crate training is going amazingly well. He sleeps in his crate and stays there when I am out of the house. He also just likes to go in on his own to play with toys and take naps. He has learned "sit". So far he is also quiet when I leave the house and my neighbors said they have not heard him yet. He will be staying with his auntie Clare for a week over Chuseok and Nobu & Noodle. Look forward to seeing how he does with the change.

Bud's doctor said he is 100% and he began his first round of shots last night as well as his heartworm preventative. Second round will be in two weeks. He was an amazing patient staying calm and chill through all of the shots and x-rays.

Bud is a 3-month-old puppy who is more chill than Bob Marley. He is amazingly beautiful. His eyes are a light brown that really stand out against his golden color. In the face he looks very similar to a Golden Retriever. His ears are adorable the way they flop over the front of his forehead in only the way cartoon dogs are drawn. This lil' boy is sure to melt your heart once you meet him! He is a shy boy and although he doesn't run from strangers, he does not go out of his way to meet them. He is most content just curled up in your arms while you watch tv, do work, pay the bills, play on the computer, and anything else you can find to do while in the sitting position. Whatever you do, do not tell him he is going to be a mid-sized dog that may not fit into laps forever.

He got along well with the other dogs that were in his pen at the shelter. He has since not had any interaction with dogs outside of the shelter or cats, since he currently does not have his complete lot of vaccinations.

Currently Bud is in foster care with his brother, Dexter. Both puppies are being treated for whipworm and campylobacter. Big words, but don't worry, they are easily treatable and Bud and his brother should be A-okay in the next week.

As soon as Bud is given the "go-ahead" by his doctor, he will begin his shots.
