*Kindhearted friends rescued this puppy and created this profile. I will try to forward all comments and questions to them quickly so Stanley can find a home!
Watch the new video in the comments section! Cutest little thing.
This is Stanley, a two month old abandoned puppy. My friends and I were hiking to Seokbulsa temple in Busan and heard a whimpering noise coming from a nearby bush on the side of the road. It was a tiny brown, black, and white puppy tangled in a bush. He's small enough to put in the palm of your hand. We wrapped him in a sweater so he could stay warm, comfortable, and safe as we hiked the rest of the way down. Along the way we kept our eyes open for a possible owner of this little puppy, but almost no one was around.
We hopped on a subway, then a bus, and finally got to a vet. It was a long trip to the vet's office, but we were all very happy when we finally reached our destination in Jangyu. The vet said that he's in good physical shape. He gave him a pill to prevent worms, gave us Royal Canin Mini Starter Mother and Baby Dog, and we bought him all the necessary items like toys, food bowls, blankets, and a carrier/bed.
The next day, we wanted to get a second opinion so we took him to Homeplus in Gimhae. The vet there regularly sees our dog, bear, and has been very helpful. We really like him. He agreed that Stanly is clean and in good physical condition. He weighs 1 kg and we are getting him his vaccinations on Monday, October 8th, in either Jangyu or in Gimhae. Both vets told us to wait to give him his vaccinations.
Taking care of Stanley is a pleasure. He loves to be cuddled. He has become attached to a plaid fleece blanket. He likes to be wrapped up in it and held as he falls asleep. His favorite toy is a tiny stuffed brown bear. He likes to sleep in his carrier with the front flap left open and his plaid blanket and stuffed bear inside.
Stanley is extremely friendly, curious, playful, adventurous, confident, loveable, and absolutely adorable. He has been responding well to myself, my boyfriend Trevor, and our friend, Richard, whom Stanley is currently staying with. Stanley is a wonderful puppy and will grow to be a wonderful and loyal dog. Please contact Me (Allison Lee), Trevor Hackett, or Richard Hull for further information or if you are interested in permanently adopting. We want to find him a permanent home.
Yesterday, October 9th, Stanley went to the vet in Gimhae to get his first round of vaccinations. The vet said that Stanley looks very healthy. We have to take Stan back 2 more times for his vaccinations, but we have to wait 2 weeks in between each visit. The next time we are going is on October 23rd.
The vet also said, that he doesn't have any of the signs of Parvo/distemper/or worms. His stomach is not as
distended as it was when we found him. It has gone down because he is now on a regular eating schedule. Stanley now weighs 1.2 kg! While at the vet we asked if Stanley could be scanned for a microchip just to make sure he doesn't have a possible owner. He did not have a microchip. To be on the safe side we are also looking on a lost and found website to make sure no one is looking for him even though we highly doubt that is the case.
UPDATES!!
Stanley is now going to be available at the end of December at some point because we misunderstood the vet. We thought he was finished with his vaccinations in November, but he actually has 3 more visits for vaccinations. Then he should be all finished and ready to find his forever home!
He is almost house trained. Richard, his current foster parent, has been working hard on accomplishing this. Stanley usually will go to the bathroom on pee pads. He does have problems with it sometimes though. He still is very young. He is still only months so I think he will get the hang of the pee pads very soon. I also think it will be helpful when he is finally allowed to go outside and be walked. The vet has said that he needs to finish all of his vaccinations before he is allowed to go for walks outside.
Stanley has made a new best friend. Myself and my boyfriend have a dog named Bear. He is about two years old and loves playing and being with other dogs. We introduced Bear to Stanley when our vet gave us permission. They love being together and get along really well. They play fight a lot and Stanley is always trying to jump on Bear. It is all very playful and wonderful to see them developing a friendship.
Stanley is still very good with all people. He is extremely friendly and will let anyone hold him and play with him. He really enjoys being around people. His energy is very high and he could play with his toys for hours. It is so nice to see him blossoming into a nice, sociable, and cuddly dog.
Stanley went to the vet yesterday again. He got 2 more shots. He needs to go 2 more times with 2 weeks in between each visit. The vet says he is doing well. He is 2.8kg now! He also moved up to eating a full cup of food everyday! The vet also cleaned his ears and clipped his nails. He is healthy as can be and is still energetic as ever. It will be really exciting to talk him on his first walk after his vaccinations are completed. I think he will fall in love with the outdoors!

He's a lucky pup to be found by you :)
Were there any signs that he belonged to anyone, a collar or anything? Have you checked any of the Korean lost / found websites to see if anyone is missing him?

Stanley is healthy as can be!! He needs a home badly. Richard, his foster parent will be leaving Korea the 2nd week in April. We have little time to find him a new home....hopefully his forever home or even another person who would want to foster Stanley and help find him a forever home. Please if you know anyone who is interested in a PUPPY contact me immediately. Also please be sure that you have thought about this decision and that you are ready to adopt a puppy. It is required to come and meet myself, Richard, Trevor, and of course Stanley before we decide that you can take him home with you as your pet. It is extremely important to meet the animal before you make the decision to adopt him forever.
Please contact me with questions/interests/etc.
