It's a happy christmas indeed for little Louie and his new family, as he was finally adopted today!!
Louie will be living in Seoul with a wonderful family who I know will give him all the love and care he will need!
Huge thanks go to his amazing foster family who were able to mold a super-needy, high-energy, loud-crying puppy into the polite and happy little fellow who found his forever home today!! They did a great job with him, and it is because of them that Louie has a family!
Dec. 17, 2012
Louie is doing really well in his new foster home and is quickly transforming into a polite and well-behaved member of his family! His foster family reports that his training is going excellently and that he rarely has any accidents in the house. Also, to everyone's relief, his crying is almost non-existent, and he seems to have accepted that he has to spend part of the day in his crate while his people are out.
Please consider adopting this wonderful little boy! He has been through quite a bit in his short life, and he really wants nothing more than to have a home of his own for Christmas!
If you are interested in adopting Louie, please fill out an application form and send it to me as soon as you can: http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application
Also, please understand that we very much wish to avoid false adoptions and having the puppy moved around a lot, so we generally ask for any interested adopters to meet Louie at least once and take a couple of days to consider everything carefully before taking him home, which will require two trips. If you are not in a position to make two trips, pleae let me know ahead of time so that we can try to find another way.

Great news!! Little Bob, who now goes by the name Louie, is going to be able to stay at his new foster home!
He is doing well, but would really love to find his forever home as soon as possible.
Please consider adopting Louie! He is a very nice puppy and will make a great addition to any family!
UPDATE: Nov. 25, 2012
Bob is currently in a new foster home with a new big foster brother, and we are giving them a little bit of time to feel each other out. If they decide to get along, Bob will be able to stay in the new foster situation, but so far, things are still a bit up in the air. Please stay tuned!
URGENT FOSTER OR ADOPTIVE HOME NEEDED IMMEDIATELY!!
Bob is still looking for a better situation. Right now, he is locked up away from human attention approximately 80% of the day, and he is at a critical age for learning house-manners and socializing.
Please consider inviting Bob into your home, even if it's for temporary fostering. He needs more attention and patience than I am able to give him.
Bob is an extremely energetic and precocious young puppy who requires a lot of attention and patience as he learns how to be a polite member of his family. He is not getting the attention or proper training he requires in order to become the kind of great companion I know he can be, and as he gets older, it will be more and more difficult to teach him the ropes.
Bob is now at the perfect age for training, and he can easily be molded into an excellent companion by the right people. Because he is not getting the right kind of care and attention at his current foster home, I am now seeking a different foster home (but ideally a forever home) for as soon as possible.
Bob is the only one of the three puppies still looking for a home, so he is very lonely. If you feel like you could offer him a safe place to learn his basic training until he can find a forever home, please contact me as soon as possible. I would like to have a different home for him within two weeks.
CORRECTION:
The contact information that I originally typed into the puppies' profiles was incorrect, which has lead to some confusion.
As of Oct. 24, the email address has been corrected and it should work alright now.
If you have tried to contact me before Oct. 24, I apologize for the confusion, and please try again whenever you can!

On September 5, 2012, three adorable little boys were born to my foster dog, Cara, who is a sweet and beautiful poodle.
Cara must have conceived shortly before I picked her up from the shelter, as I was completely unaware that she was pregnant until a couple of weeks later.
At this time, I have my own dog, and two fosters on top of the puppies, and so I am looking for some good homes for these little guys for as soon as they are weaned, which should be by early November.
Although I have no idea what kind of dog the father of these puppies is, I’ve recently begun to think that Cara was a busy little girl at the shelter, as each puppy appears to be a different kind of mix! This, of course, is most likely not the case, however, it’s fun to imagine things sometimes, so please bear with me!
This is Bob, the Labradoodle/Explorer cross.
Bob is significantly larger than his two brothers, and has what looks to me like a very Labrador kind of face. I assume that Bob was the first to emerge into this world, as he has a classic first-born child personality; he is bold, adventurous, and brimming with hopeful confidence! He loves to explore, and he was the first of the puppies to stumble outside of the puppy room and gaze about in wide-eyed wonder! Bob seems to be the most independent of the three, but is also very quick to initiate play with his smaller siblings. He is quite social with his mother, brothers, and his human caretaker, and will hopefully continue to be a friendly guy as he gets a bit older.
If you would like to learn more about Bob or his brothers, please contact me as soon as is convenient at [email protected]. You can also read a bit more about Bob and his family here: http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/blog/linhorobin/cara-et-al

Hi Meg- Thanks for your interest in Bob, and sorry about the confusion!
My email address is [email protected], so I'm not sure what the problem is, but maybe if you try again a bit later it will work. Bob is still available, and getting more and more playful! Last night, we spent some one-on-one cuddle time together because he was the only one still awake, and he is such a wonderful little guy! He's very curious, playful and bold, but he also has such a sweet nature, and he was really happy just to hang out on my lap and experience the world!
The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application form and send it to me at your earliest convenience. After that, we can chat about any questions or concerns about the potential adoption, and basically go from there.
You can find the application form here: http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application.
Please try to email me again whenever you can to see if it works.
Thanks again for your interest in little Bobby! He is going to make some lucky family very happy!

The puppies wanted to be where everyone else was, so we had a little bit of playtime up on the bed.

Lindsay you have done an INCREDIBLE job with Cara and her puppies! I'm so amazed! You need an all-expenses-paid holiday after they're all adopted I think... ;)

I can't believe no one has adopted/fostered Bob!! Is there any interest?
I have never met him but I am so in love with him already. I want to adopt him, but I won't be in Korea until late January at the earliest. :(

Hi Nicole- I also can't believe no one has adopted Bob yet, but it looks like he will be going into his new foster home this weekend as long as everything goes well! Please check in on Bob again when it gets closer to the time that you will arrive in Korea!

Bob did go into a trial foster situation last weekend, but there are a few kinks that will need to be ironed out before long, one of which is his crying. Hopefully we will know more about the situation soon!

Nicole- according to his foster family, his training is coming along quite nicely and he rarely has accidents in the house! Also, his crying is much, much better as he seems to have learned that he must spend part of the day alone while his family is out working and accepted that. New pictures are on the way!

I have to say, I was really worried about Bob as a young puppy- he was undoubtedly adorable and sweet, but he was extremely needy and headstrong, and had more energy than I could handle. Fortunately, some incredible people stepped up and did all kinds of things from networking to fostering and training him in order to get him adopted. Now, here he is (as Winnie), super happy and healthy with his wonderful new family!! Thanks so much to everyone who has been following his story and who have helped get him where he is now!
