*Update-May 19th*
Lois was officially adopted today. How could I ever take this wonderful little girl back to the shelter? She is the best dog ever.
*Update-March 12th
Lois is an amazing girl and she finally went into well deserved foster care on Sunday.
*Update-February 27th*
I will be out of the country for a few months so a lovely volunteer named Claire will be taking over my profiles to make sure they don't expire! You can contact either of us with any questions, but she will be faster to answer. However, I am still more than willing to help if you need me:-)
*Update-February 18th*
Lois is such a happy lady. She loves to get out of her cage for walks and adores the attention from all the volunteers. She will be the perfect house dog when the right person comes along!
*Update-January 29th*
Lois is back at the shelter in the hopes that more people will see her and realize what a perfect dog she is! Lois looks amazing and is now house trained and a GREAT companion.
*Update-January 24th*
From Lois' foster mom:
"Lois is such a delight to have around, and full of surprises.
She is a fluffy angel who has signature "I am happy" twirling, which is unbelievably adorable. (You can easily see her twirling with treats)
She hides food under her doggie bed. I noticed this when fluffing her cushion. But it seemed like she has her own way of housekeeping and does not like mine, since she remade her bed every time after I cleaned it for her. Now I barely touch her bed, because I want to respect this lady's privacy.
She is sleeping soundly right now and the sound of her breathing is also adorable, like peaceful music.
Lois is so cute that I cannot get enough of her. It pains me that I won't be able to give her a forever home and love her forever. I hope she finds a loving home, where she can smile out of happiness and fall asleep in arms full of love."
*Update-January 15th*
Lois is amazing. Her foster mom says she loves to sleep! Lois is also very good at running and loves going down by the river! If you want a beautiful, chilled out, relaxed and happy dog, Lois is the one for you!
*Update-December 30th*
I am so excited for Lois!! She finally went to a foster home today. A dedicated volunteer took her home and will be giving her the love she deserves! Lois still needs a forever home so please consider Lois!
*Update-December 23rd*
Lois is perfect. She is quiet, calm, cuddly, walks well, perfect.
*Update-December 17th*
I just absolutely love Lois Lane. I'm shocked nobody has scooped her up and taken her home yet! She is BEAUTIFUL and has become so much more energetic and confident. She's going to make a wonderful pet. I hope somebody decides to take her out of the rough shelter environment soon!
Lois had a great volunteer day on Sunday! She walked wonderfully and enjoyed people showing her attention! She let kids walk her and didn't seem too nervous. She jumped right up in my lap when I offered and would have cuddled there all day if there weren't an abundance of snacks around! She really loves treats:-)
Lois is a beautiful, wonderful, sweet and loving dog. I want her to get a home quickly so she can be appreciated!
Yay Lois! Today I wanted to work on Lois with no other people or dogs around. Turns out, all those distractions and noises are a bit too much for her right now. So with no one else around, Lois did GREAT outside on the leash. Instead of begging to be picked up, she was begging to run! She even got really playful with me, a side I hadn't seen of hers before. We ran, played, cuddled. Lois Lane is a fantastic dog. I'm sure she'll be able to adapt to shelter life soon so she can be happier on volunteer days when all the dogs are out.
(Just after this she got REALLY playful!)
In preparation for the BAPS calendars, some of our dogs had special photoshoots! Leo Mendoza took gorgeous pictures and you can see some of Lois and Clark here! If you want to order a BAPS calendar full of pictures and stories of BAPS dogs (some adopted, some adoptable), let me know!
*Update*
Lois has a wonderful volunteer day! She WALKED the whole way! She did stop several times and require lots of sweet talking and encouragement, but she did much better this week. She still prefers to just sit on someones lap and be petted, but she will get used to the walks and all the people and dogs soon. She is such sweet girl and the sooner she gets out of the shelter, the better.
Lois Lane and Clark Kent just came to BAPS last week. They were abandoned at a pet store hotel and after THREE years there, the pet store owner ran out of room for them.
I have no idea why anyone would abandon this lovely girl. She is sweet and loves cuddles. She's scared and unsure of herself at BAPS and really needs to get out of there soon. I attempted a walk with her after another volunteer comforted her with cuddles, but she would only walk for a short time and then literally JUMP into my arms if I offered to hold her! She was fine as long as I held her and walked the path. Hopefully she can get used to all the dogs and volunteers soon.
She's got the softest fur that is in the process of growing out nice and fluffy! I'll post more pictures of her next week. Let's hope she's up for a good long walk then!
As with all BAPS (Busan Abandoned Pet Sanctuary) pups, anyone interested in adopting or fostering Lois Lane will need to volunteer 2 weekends in a row. All that means is you get to come walk our dogs from 11-3 any Sunday! Anyone interested in making Lois Lane a part of their family will need to complete a one month trial adoption first, to ensure that everyone gets along and you are the perfect match!
Please consider being Lois Lane's hero and taking her home forever!
*BAPS also has a sponsorship program. Anyone interested can give 200,000 won for a dog to have their full health check, be neutered or spayed, and get any necessary dental work. If you are interested in sponsoring Lois or another BAPS dog, please let me know!

Little Lois is now a huge furball and happy at my home.
I'm going to be officially adopting her soon. She's a great girl in my apartment. She's calm and sweet. She lets me brush her teeth and even shave off fur from her butt. She's a bit slow in learning commands but she's getting there slowly. But she's so cute and sweet that I couldn't dream of sending her back to the shelter.
