Luna, a beautiful Weimaraner was brought to a vet for euthanization. The owner said she started to show aggressiveness to his 3 month old baby.
I'm urgently looking for a foster or forever family to give her a second chance.
She's 6 years old,...fully vaccinated, good with people but not with other animals. She was born in America but somehow abandoned then adopted to the owner 3 years ago then brought to Korea with the owner.
If you've been considering adopting a big sized dog, Luna would be it! She is very calm and loves walking. Also she understands some commands. How lovely!!
The vet decided to keep her for now but shouldn't be too long since he has only one cage available for a big-sized dog . Pls send me the application ( [email protected]) if you're interested. You're advised to fill out all the questions on the application.
Pls take a look at her beautiful eyes! You can save her life now.
Updates as of Jan 15, 2013
Luna seems really tired of being in a cage now. The other day after walking, Luna was so determined not to go in the cage. I was wondered then found out she had a sort of pressure sore on her hinder leg. I think this made her act that way. Poor Luna. She really needs a place to stay freely. Pls consider her!!
Updates as of Jan 20, 2013
Luna found a great foster family today!! I'm so happy that she is out of cage now.
The foster family is living in Korea at least 1 more year. So she still need a forever home =)

You have mentioned she is not good with other animals... Is she openly aggressive or is this manageable situation that will improve with training?

I'm not really sure about the degree of her aggressiveness. She's staying in a cage at the clinic when some visiting dogs were passing by but she just stays so calm. So I'm sure that she isn't openly aggressive. But I heard she tried to attack a liitle dog and have her hurt which never happened before. The owner said for her being unpredictable is a tricky part of having her.

After talking with the owner, Luna should definitely NOT go into a home with other animals. As will all dogs, Luna can be rehabilitated with training and stability, but this will take time.

Does she only have a problem with smaller animals or is it larger animals as well?

I don't have the answer but it won't be a good idea to have another big dog with Luna since she is unpredictable towards other dogs.

i wanted to update you about luna.
she's doing very well. her nose is healed, and the weather is much nicer to play with her outside.^^
when we give her new food, sometimes it makes her stomach a little sick, but otherwise i think she is healthy and happy!
we take her to play ball, usually on the weekends, but she loves it SOOOOO much.
one time, she got so excited to play that she pooped in the house!!! she was acting really cute, so i actually have it on video [>.<] oops!

Here's another update on Luan from her great foster family!!
============================================================================
She is such a sweet dog. She has really warmed up to us and is really a dog that loves to have all the attention. She will sit right in front of us and wait for us to pet her, even nuzzling her face into our hands to get us to notice her. It is still unclear to us how she handles other dogs. She sees other dogs when we take her for walks, but she usually just ignores them (she likes people way more than dogs!) Occasionally, she will walk up and sniff other dogs for a few seconds, and then just walk away. It is hard to try to socialize her with dogs in Korea because most local pets walking around are super tiny dogs, and those seem to be the type she doesn't care for. It would be nice to find a bigger dog we could let her socialize with. She rarely ever barks, so she is a great apartment dog. She only barks if she sees stray cats running around the area or if somebody rings our doorbell. She is super playful and gets realllllly excited when she can tell we are going to take her somewhere. For a while, we played ball with her to get her exercise, but she doesn't always drop the ball well (even with treats!), especially if she thinks we are almost finished playing and will be going back home. We haven't played ball in a while and have instead been playing frisbee. At first she didn't care for it at all, but now she loves it! And she catches it, returns it, and drops it well -- so it works much better than playing ball.
We feel bad sometimes because we work Mon-Fri from 8:30-4:30, so we are often too busy to give her the amount of attention she wants! And sometimes we are too tired after work to take her for a long walk. Luckily, we have an open roof on our apartment, and sometimes I take her up there to let her just run around and have fun by herself, which she loves. (Many of the pictures attached were taken on the roof). She went through a phase a few weeks ago where she had an accident in the house almost every day while we were at work (even though we let her out in the morning, sometimes at lunchtime, and always right after school). We don't know why it was happening, but it has been much better lately (although she does still have occasional accidents). She does shed a lot -- we sweep our apartment every few days and get big clumps of her fur every time. Her fur is still thin and a bit patchy in places, but no different than when we got her. She seems really healthy, overall -- and definitely happy! (even if we can't provide her with as much 'human-time' as she wants!

Updates on Luna =)
=================================================================
she's been healthy and everything has seemed normal. She gets tired easily in the heat, so we recently started taking her to the river to swim and play fetch in the water. She LOVES going in the river, and it keeps her cool, so she's really happy to get exercise that way. A video file won't fit in this email, but I'll put one on youtube soon. We've started keeping a lot of extra water bowls around the house filled with cold water, to encourage her to drink more, and so far it seems to be working well.
Luna is such a great dog, and really deserves to have a great home. She is so affectionate and well-behaved. Sometimes....she's really clumsy and cute and gets sooo excited about something. We went away for a night and had some friends watch her. When we came back, Luna got so excited that she went crazy in the house, jumping from bed to bed and digging in the beds, but she accidentally ran into our bed frame and made a hole in it! We were so worried that she had hurt herself, and kept checking her for injuries, but she's a tough dog!
