***UPDATE!!!*** Scooter was adopted today by a wonderful family! :}
What isn't wonderful about Scooter!? He is honestly perfect! He's loving, gentle, playful, and just all around amazing! When I first saw him at KAPS I knew that I had to foster him! He was miserable in his little cage, and had just about stopped eating altogether. :[ I am in love with Boston Terriers already, but Scooter takes the boston cake! Most people are intimidated bypass the bostons' hyper activity, but Scooter is unique. He's still young, yet he is very relaxed. Don't be fooled by his chilled out demeanor though. When it's playtime, it's PLAYTIME! He is GAHGAH for tennis balls! Actually, he loves just about anything that will bounce!
On my second visit to the shelter I noticed that Scoot was neutered. That may be why he spends most of his day lazing about. ;) (Best cuddle buddy ever, FYI!) He has never been aggressive towards my husband and I, or towards any of our neighbors or friends! I can take food right out of his mouth and put myself face to face with him whenever I want. I do this often because he's just so darn kissable! ;)
Scooter is a total gentleman. Someone has house trained him and he's very good at telling us when he has to take a potty break. He gets a little anxious and excited while on the leash, but that's because he LOVES the outdoors and is very curious! :]
His first vet visit outside of the shelter concluded that he is NEGATIVE for heartworms and distemper. He did have a slight case of bronchitis, ( most likely from the poor ventilation at the shelter and cold weather ) but after a good round of antibiotics, he's back to his healthy self! :]
***★VET UPDATE★*** (Feb. 16, 2013)
Mr. Scooter had a second vet visit today. He is free of his bronchitis! He had a small amount of nasal congestion from the nutty weather we have been having, so he was given a shot to help dry it up. :) We did find out that he has an ear infection (most likely aftershock from the bronchitis) which can be easily cleared up with antibiotics. He will be on them for about five days. We had to reschedule his vaccinations for when we go back to check on his ears. All in all, he is feeling a ton better, and has the appetite of a horse! ;)
My husband and I are currently working on getting him use to basic commands, and our nine year old cat. She's is very grumpy and likes to hiss at him then run and hide. To Scooter this is a game, and he likes to chase her. For the most part, he is just unsure of her. Poor guy. :] We hope to have him completely submissive towards her soon, so that it will never escalate into anything too rough. Luckily, he's a smart boy that catches on quickly!
This pup has only been in our home just a short time, and has already won us over! There's never a dull moment with a boston around! Let's face it, he's kind of a catch! ;)
Please consider Scoot for adoption!
( If you're interested in Scooter, please call or text Shyanne anytime. We would love to meet

Hahaha, he's adorable! He reminds me of a smaller, equally goofy version of my boyfriend's Staffie. :)
