Joyce Ann is recovering well from spay surgery, and due to go to her new family next Wednesday. YIPPEE!!! :) As Lou Reed says, it's the beginning of a great adventure! :)
Joyce Ann had her deworming pills, her rabies and comprehensive vaccine, and her first shower. She was a good sport for all of it! It wasn't a comprehensive check-up, but the vet said she looks healthy, and kept saying how gentle and how SMART she is! :)
Joyce Ann is one of the dogs rescued by the angels at CARE from a dog meat farm. She is one of the SWEETEST dogs I've ever met! We are her emergency foster home, and we LOVE her! But, I won't be able to keep her long term. (We'll leave Korea for 2 months vacation in June and July. Also, our 3 cats have more mixed feelings about her.) She is great with my daughter, loves the cats, is totally relaxed about her food--not even a tiny bit protective. She just loves to be around us. So far she only barks when our cat Abby tries to bully and scare her--Joyce Ann thinks they're going to play and gets all happy. :) She's getting used to leash walks, she doesn't exactly walk straight but she's really cooperative and comes along with me. She still pees and poops inside our apartment, but only on the balcony. We'll take her for shots and deworming when she's more used to the leash, and we'll get her spayed as soon as we can. She's really going to be an amazing pet/best friend.

I don't know her but I was trying to find someone to save her when I saw CARE's posts on the dogs at the dog farm who were going to be euthanized. I would've taken her myself had I not been going out of country when it was all happening. I'm getting 2 foster puppies and have my own dog so I'll be a bit swamped the next little while ha ha, but I would love to visit her eventually. She looks so sweet.

A Jindo dog that is great with cats! That's great and good for people to know that lots of Jindo dogs can be great with smaller animals! :)
