Nougat (now Artimus)

I am so happy to announce that Nougat's foster mom has decided she needs him in her life, FOREVER!! :) Yay! Congrats little buddy!!

After coming home from vacation and being away from my little baby, I've decided to adopt him. Even through Skype he has won over my friends and family back home who can't wait to come visit him. I changed his name from Nougat to Artimus as it goes well with my cat's name (Luna). They are both named after the cats in Sailor Moon. ^^

Update: 5 July 2013
Here is a quick update from Nougat's foster mom. :)

He is doing great so far and always in a good mood. He is very, very active since he is still puppy age but he calms down after awhile when you are home with him. He is getting really good at letting you know he wants to go outside for the bathroom but also knows where his indoor puppy pad spot is for those emergencies when he cant hold it.

Update: 1 June 2013
Finally Nougat got lucky & went into foster care! Yay!! He went to the vet for a FULL health check straight away.

They did the full antibody test along with blood, etc. He is on stage three of six for vaccinations so for the next month or so I will be taking him in to complete everything so he is completely up to date. He tested negative on everything and was said to be in perfect health. ^^

He was also neutered so is now sporting a cone on his head! Speedy recovery sweet boy!

From a volunteer who spent time with Nougat last weekend:

Nougat was great around the kitties at the shelter yesterday. He was curious, but cool and relaxed. The kitties were not as interested in meeting him.

Nougat is still waiting for his big break!

URGENT update: 23 April 2013
Due to the current distemper scare at the shelter, we are begging people to step forward as "emergency fosters" for a few dogs who we deem "at risk". Nougat is one of them! He was being housed near to the dogs who have tested positive for distemper. He is not yet showing symptoms but we need to err on the side of caution. The best chance distemper-positive dogs have is to be able to rest comfortably, be monitored closely, and have round the clock access to food and water.

If you have no dogs, parrots and/or are a cat-only home, PLEASE consider opening your home to one of these pups for a month or so. ALL COSTS WOULD BE COVERED and unlike our usual 'until adopted' contingency, this would be a short term EMERGENCY situation.

Nougat...he has the right colouring and he is oh so sweet! All this guy wants is to love you forever and ever!

He was rescued only 2 weeks ago by Mr Park from a city pound. I can't even begin to think what he was doing there...he is the loveliest, cuddliest, kissiest boy ever! Some young children came to the shelter last weekend and had a whale of a time patting him, cuddling him and brushing him. He soaked it all up!
