"Anyong haseyo! My name is Jordan, and I work in the Fund Development for the Edmonton Humane Society. I was forwarded your E-mail from Stephanie, and I’m writing to let you know that I am the person who adopted Moon. I lived in Korea for 7 years, and my wife is Korean. We fell in love with Moon the first moment that we saw him and knew that it would be the perfect fit. We’ve been working quite hard to socialize Moon and he has made some terrific progress. He is now coming up to people on his own and letting people he is not familiar with touch him and pick him up. He is also making great progress around other dogs – so we’re very happy about that. He has come out of his shell quite a bit and is actually quite playful. He loves going to the off-leash parks and playing fetch, and we try to take him there as much as possible.
Just all-around, he is a wonderful dog and you can rest assured that he is getting all kinds of love and attention. I’m very grateful to you folks for sending him to us and I promise that I will send you some updated photos of him soon!"
More recent email:
"Moon is a wonderful dog – and although I’ve only had him for a short while, I couldn’t imagine my life without him. We are in training classes together at the shelter, and he is making some great progress. I am very grateful that you sent him to us. Thanks again, and I promise to send the rest of the photos soon!"

UPDATE on Mr. Moon, September, 1st:
In the beginning of August Moon's foster family brought him to Canada. With help of one animal rescue group they found him another foster home. Here's the recent update on Moon: "Moon is doing great. Due to his fearfulness we put him in a foster home to help appreciate that the world is not so scary. He is a wonderful dog and is loved by many. He has found his new home with one of our staff who came from Korea so it was the perfect match. I will get them to take some photos for you."
UPDATE on Mr.Moon, June, 2nd:
Moon's surgery went fine. He did have to lose four top, front teeth that were practically falling out anyway. The vet says it will not interfere with eating because his canines are healthy and intact. In fact, he will have a much easier time eating now that his rotten teeth are gone and his mouth can heal. The teeth that remain are sparkly clean and his breath is much less offensive now!
UPDATE on Mr.Moon, May, 25th:
It's going really well. Moon is coming out of shell and really warming up to his new foster family. He went for a check up on Thursday to make sure he's a candidate to be neutered and everything is fine. He will be neutered and have his teeth cleaned next Saturday.
UPDATE on Mr.Moon, April, 30th:
We hope that you all are doing well! Mr. Moon is doing great and is seriously like the best dog EVER!! He is very calm but extreamly loving, he goes to the bathroom outside and holds it until he's able to go outside, but if not he uses pee pads. He doesnt bark and he even walks on the leash though he still flinches away when being picked up. And he is HEALTHY, over parvo and no distemper.
Since he is out of the woods and is putting on weight in a good way we are looking for a FOREVER or FOSTER HOME for him. Would you like to add this little treasure to your family or become a foster mom/dad for Mr.Moon? (at the moment he is at an emergency foster home, and his foster mom is allergic to dogs).
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Moon is a young, active, handsome boy. We are hoping that in no time he will find a FURever family and will be shining brightly and prancing happily. Come to Asan to meet Moon!
~ Hi! My name is Moon and I am told these things about myself: I am astonishingly adorable, loveable, kissable and squeezable. Don't I sound GREAT? Somebody nice found me out in the world all by myself and brought me to the shelter. I actually am quite good, and I promise that if you decide to love me, I will be forever devoted to you. So-o... we should probably get together sometime.
Moon ~
Moon's story: he used to live underdeath the apt building where his guardian angels (2 Korean women) made a house for him. Apt management said they would call gu-office (to send the dog to a city pound), so Moon was moved down to Asan shelter.
