**UPDATE! Dixi was adopted today by an awesome couple today! :) We're so happy for him! Thanks to all who were interested in our little man! ♡ Please give our other adoptable dogs on ARK a look! PLEASE PLEASE! :) ♡
Dixon is THE BEST little companion! Ever! Seriously, this pup is the bomb! I'm not sure how he ended up at KAPS, but I'm glad that I came across him. :) His personality is to die for, and he has become quite a celebrity (especially amongst the children) at Camp George where we live. He's very gentle and loves to give kisses. He has not shown an ounce of aggression towards anyone or anything. He's actually quite a coward. Lol. He loves going on brief walks, but is just as happy being a total home body. He is very curious about my cat although she hates dogs. She has even smacked him in the nose more than once, and still he just quietly watches her with an occasional sniff in her direction. He is still learning how to play with me. My guess is that playtime is a very foreign thing to Dixon. :( Most of his "play" is mouthing my hands gently.
****UPDATE**** Dixon has MATERED the art of play recently! :) I could not be happier with my little bundle of bouncy joy during play time! Lol
Has hasn't shown a spec of interest in objects on the floor ( besides his toys) or furniture, so chewing is not a problem at all! ;)
He is not neutered, but does not mark his territory or show aggression towards other dogs. Since he is so wonderful (all parts included) I won't be neutering him while he is in my care. Dixon does use his potty pads, but he prefers going outside. I prefer it also, but the pads come in handy at night when he is put in the bathroom with a baby gate. Which he has no objections to! We will continue to work on pad training. He is very well behaved and quiet. I have heard one small "woof" out of him since he's been with us. :) All in all, I give his behavior and personality 5 stars! ☆☆☆☆☆
He has been to the vet for a check up recently.
Heartworm-negative
Influenza-negative
Distemper-negative
Parvo-negative
They said that he is approximately 2 years old, around 9lbs. (possibly 10 or 11lbs. now), and for the most part a healthy little guy! The only things standing in the way were a little dehydration along with diarrhea, and some redness in his eyes. They gave him a three day supply of oral medicine to rid him of his diarrhea, and some eye ointment to help the irritation. Which both worked well. All better now! His next vet visit will be soon for some vaccinations. ;)
Please consider little Dixon for adoption!
Any questions about him that I havent answered in his description please feel free to send me an email ([email protected])
Thank you!
This is how we "rough house". ;) What a little goofball.♡

I'm so glad he ended up with you guys! I'd been seeing him in the KAPS videos, and his big puppy eyes - they just made me melt! Good thing you busted him out of doggie prison!

p.s. Were you the people who fostered a Boston terrier not long ago? If so, wasn't there a picture of the dog + husband crashed out together? No matter what, those kinds of pictures make me giggle. Really good press, too!

I don't think he's a pug! He looks more like a French Bulldog. I've always loved them. He's adorable. I'm sure he'll find a home soon!

**UPDATE** Dixon is doing well in his new home. How lucky are we that we get to still see him everyday since his new mom and dad are our neighbors!? ♡ His health is tip top, and he is still one of the most patient and gentle souls that I have ever come across. :) Thanks everyone for all the support and interest in Dixi. He's found his forever, finally!
