Naomi has found her family and has a new name. I would like to introduce the new Huchu Koala Hogan-Lydon! Mom and Dad drove up to the shelter to pick her up last Saturday and went straight to the vet in Suwon. She is in excellent health minus an old broken foot. Poor dears toes are all pointed upwards and there is no muscle in her left leg. She will walk oddly for the remainder of her life but has not real pain in the leg since the bones have already healed and she has learned to stay off of the foot when it suits her.
She did have quite a lot of terrible gas on the ride home as well as got sick once. It made the ride for the people quite painful and the windows had to stay down.

Naomi is a very unique tiger-brindle Jindo mix. She is young, calm, beautiful, sweet and looking for a home.
The owner of Asan shelter rescued her from the local kill shelter on March 16th. Because she is a mix, large by Korean standards, and black, he knew that the chances of this baby girl finding her family in a 10-day window was slim. Without hesitation, pointed her out, scooped her up and brought her to Asan Shelter.
She is a great addition to the canine family. The first day with volunteers, she was very overwhelmed. You can see in her earlier photos ho her ears ars back and she is not as relaxed as her close-up from last weekend where she was happy to be on a lead and just hanging out with a couple of volunteers.
She seems to be quite gentle with everyone of all ages races and sexes and does not give any notice to the cats that are darting around the shelter tormenting the pups.
If you are interested in fostering or adopting Naomi, please fill out the fostering/adoption application completely, located here: http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application and return to me at [email protected].

I hope Naomi gets adopted soon. She is so sweet and calm, compared to the other dogs. She gets along really well with other dogs, and she is great on a leash. Most of all, she loves to be petted and hugged. :-)

I'm IN LOVE with Naomi! She has to be one of the sweetest, kindest and friendliest dogs I've had the pleasure of meeting! I could cuddle and play with her all day, something she would love too! I really hope to see fostered or adopted soon. She doesn't belong in the shelter! Hang in there gorgeous girl! xx

Hi Guys,
Huchu is settling in very well! She likes to sleep...a lot! But I guess she isn't used to being taken for a lot of walks, so we will ease her into it, I think. She was very timid at first and she still cowers when we go to pet her sometimes. But this morning I was woken up by Huchu licking my hand which was hanging out of the bed! The best wake-up call ever! We love her so much and we know she will be happy in her new home :-) <3
