I am so happy to announce that Soona finally got out of the shelter with her kennel mate Bokgil.
They are moved to an animal right advocate's place in Busan :) She has devoted herself to rescue dogs in death row for years and found good homes for those animals she pulled out from the city pound. She's very well known in korea as a god mother of shelter dogs and she decided to take in Soona and Bokgil to her home. (She's not operating a shelter though). It's hard to say they got 'adopted' at this point, but they are going to stay at her home until they find good families. In other words, it's a permanent foster home for them. So I will change the status of Soona's profile to 'adopted' since her new 'foster' mom will be in charge of everything including all the adoption process, and Soona does not belong to Yangju shelter anymore.
Thank everyone who has spread the word for Soona!

Poor Soona is still eagerly waiting for her family!
Now she is sharing her kennel only with Bokgil, her former foster brother, since the bully(the other kennel-mate) got adopted :)
Soona looks happier than before but she still needs a family she call call her own. She's good on leash even though she gets tooooo excited when she gets walked^^
Can you imagine how badly dogs could be abused?
In January 21, 2009, Soona was rescued by KARMA shelter with terrible look on those pictures. She was under 1 year old, and she was burned so badly by a blowtorch. Her cornea on the right eye was burned, but thankfully the left eye is fine. She could not open her eyes when she was first taken in to the shelter. Then she was handed over to Yangju shelter for treatment for burns all over her body. Despite the terrible abuse, Soona wagged her tail at the vet to greet vets and rescuers.
Thank god she overcame all tortures, and her treatment is done now. She once got adopted a couple years ago, but she returned to the shelter since her 'owner' moved to another city and never came back to the shelter to pick her up.
Poor Soona has been living in the shelter since then.
She's a cheerful and chubby little girl loving to get along with people! Come and visit the shelter to see how she's doing :) Now she's about 5 years old! She's so ready to get out of the shelter and find her loving home >.<
Please help her find a family to live the rest of her life happily♡

This dog is a sweet buddle of fat love (she is a little chubby but that's because she's been in the pen without exercise). I walked her and Bokgil, her brother the black cocker, and the two of them were like streamrollers! They were soooo excited to get out and walk and so unhappy to go back in their pen :( She's so beautiful inside and out, and I bet since she lived in a home before she'd go back into good house behaviors very easily.
