Update - December 15th
Little Yuki finally found her ride to Canada and is now with her new family in Toronto. This little girl is going to have a new exciting life to look forward to. Good luck, Yuki.
Update - November 7th
Yuki's been really lucky recently. She has received medical sponsorship and is now in foster care. She will soon be spayed and will then be looking for a flight to her new home in Canada. We are hoping this all works out for little Yuki. She has come so far, from being in constant pain on doggy death row to waiting to fly half way across to world to her new forever family.
Update - October 14th
We did a photo shoot this weekend with the dogs at BAPS, Yuki was hilarious. We dressed her in a hanbok and she was awesome! She was so funny though as she couldn't stay still for long enough away from human contact. Instead she was desperate to have cuddles from everyone including the photographer. She was a supermodel and unbelievably cute with it! She is fantastic with everyone and seems to love everyone she meets. No one has a bad word to say about her and she behaves fantastically when out with volunteers. She is one special dog and any family would be lucky to have her!
Update - September 1st
Yuki is a little star, everyone at the shelter seems to have fallen for Yuki's cuteness. On Sunday one of our young volunteers walked little Yuki and she was perfectly behaved. She's such a happy dog and always seems like she is smiling. If you would like happy and excitable dog who loves cuddles and walks consider cute little Yuki.
Yuki has been a very lucky girl. Several weeks ago the outlook for cute little Yuki was bleak. She was stuck in a kill-pound in great pain. She has hit by a car and had damage to her hip. She needed expensive surgery to survive. However, once BAPS shelter directors visited the pound Yuki’s luck changed. Leo and Jin loved the happy little girl and the kind vet at the pound offered to do Yuki’s surgery for a big discount. But this was still expensive, but many BAPS supporters made donations to allow Yuki to have surgery. After recovering from her surgery Yuki headed to the shelter where she will have the chance to meet her new family. Yuki is an absolute delivery, she is so happy and full of energy that I almost forget she had surgery just over a month ago. ‘
Yuki is a great walker and loves human attention. She has a great personality and gets super excited to go out for walks. Yuki is also a small dog by Western standards and would probably do well in an apartment as well. Yuki is so full of smiles and happiness that everyone wants to walk her. If you are looking for a happy and fun little dog Yuki could be the one.
**Please consider adopting Yuki, and making her very happy!**
We do our best at BAPS to make sure that the families are satisfied and the dogs are happy. We sincerely care about the well-being of our dogs and their new families. Therefore, there are a few steps you need to go through to be able to adopt a BAPS dog.
1) Please complete the adoption application athttp://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application.
2) To make sure new families are sincere, we ask you to volunteer one week before taking the dog home. On the second week, after volunteering, you are welcome to take the dog home. Volunteers walk, play with, and pet shelter dogs on Sundays from 11-3.
3) After bringing the dog home, you'll get all the benefits of adoption, but the adoption won't be considered complete until a month long trial has been completed. This is just to make sure that the dog fits in with your family.
*BAPS also has a sponsorship program. Anyone interested can give 200,000 won for a dog to have their full health check, be neutered or spayed, and get any necessary dental work. If you are interested in sponsoring Yuki, please let me know!
