It is with great sadness that I had to change Merong's profile..
This afternoon she slipped away... despite the vet's and her foster mum's best efforts she was just too weak. She went peacefully in a warm bed. I'm so thankful that such a wonderful foster took her in and showed her some love... I hope she is now so place better.
Thank you to everyone that helped. I'm so upset and sorry that we lost Merong :(
Merong needs somewhere warm and safe to stay!
A very kind vet has been treating her... but she only has until Sunday - then she will be sent back to the shelter, where she probably won't survive.
This old dear, is blind, has no teeth and has renal failure. She is also terribly underweight. The vet will support her treatment, but she needs a place to stay. She will need to return to the vet's office about once a month for treatment. (Yongsan area)
She doesn't move around much, she is pretty weak =( She will not be able to go outside to use the bathroom, so any fosters or adopters will need to be okay with using pee pads.
She may not live too much longer... maybe just one more year....
PLEASE SOMEONE TAKE IN THIS DARLING AND SHOW HER SOME LOVE IN HER LAST DAYS ㅜㅜ
The vet will also be facing about 400 000won worth of costs for the current medicine... if anyone wants to donate, please contact me.

Oh my goodness, the poor dear! Please, please, please, someone step up and be her angel! You will be so blessed to be the receiver of her love. Clearly she has not been taken care of up until now. Please take her home and give her the love and attention she deserves!

Hi Folks,
I've been back in Korea a couple months now. I live in Yangsan, near Busan. Before I even consider fostering (I can't adopt, but can foster for a number of months), is it possible for her to take the train to Busan? It takes about 3 hours on KTX. Also, would anyone be able to contribute financially to supporting her? And how is she with other dogs?
Taking another dog in is something I have to think about carefully, so I am not suggesting I will foster her, I just want some answers to help me think about it.

Hello ~ Thank you for your comment. We have a few people interested and one is meeting Merong today. If these fosters don't work out, could I get back to you? I think it is better that she is close to the vet that is already treating her..

I picked up Merong tonight and she's settling in nicely. She's still very skinny and weak but the doctor said that she's been getting better day by day. I've added a few pictures for everyone.

Poor sweet dog - you can see her bones sticking out. Does anyone know her history? How did things get so bad?!

I'm so sorry to hear the sad news about Merong. Many thanks to Julie, borah, and the kindhearted vet who made her last days comfortable and warm :(

Oh no. I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm so happy that she got a nice comfortable bed and the love of others in her last days. That's a really special gift. :)
