It's so hard to say goodbye but this sweet, sweet boy has found an amazing forever family!

It's been so cool to see Bubba start to trust people and open up. When he first out of the shelter, he ate like each meal was going to be his last and he wouldn't even sleep in his dog bed. Just curled up on the floor. When I'd go to pat his head, it scared him. But now, he eats each meal like he's savoring the food and he shows no food aggression whatsoever. One time, Minnie (my other foster) actually stuck her head in his food bowl and started eating his food. I got worried but all he did was look up at me, like he was confused. It was so cute and then he just kept eating. Bubba now gets into his dog bed like a boss Bubbs LOVES ear scratches and head pats now. No flinching! He is such a sweet boy; so calm and quiet but still playful.

Bubba is such a sweet, calm boy. If I could, I'd adopt him myself. I'm fostering two pups right now and when they lick his face and jump all over him, he takes it all in stride and lets them do whatever they want. He has so much love to give and deserves a loving forever home!

Bubba finally has clean teeth! I'm relieved the scaling is finally done. His teeth were in such bad shape that he had to have three pulled :( But now his remaining teeth are sparkling :) He loves being around people and when he's really happy he'll press up against you, sort of like a cat. He's one of the sweetest and quietest dogs I've ever been around. Bubba will make a great companion for someone.

Bubba's made so much progress in the past couple of weeks! He's really opened up and he's starting to play around more. When I first went to pet him, he'd always flinch, but now he's learned that an outstretched hand means pats or treats and he hardly ever flinches now. Housebreaking-wise he's only had one accident since my last post! He's also learned to "sit." From the way he inhales his food, I think he must have had a tough past but he's still super sweet. When one of my other dogs attempts to/steals his food, he never growls, he just watches and keeps eating. Bubba had his final flu vaccine and he's going to get another booster and his teeth scaled soon! He'd be a wonderful (and minty fresh) addition to any home.

Say hello to my little friend! This is Bubba and he was in a shelter until recently. He's a very sweet and gentle little guy (weighs a little over 5 kg) and loves being around people but is a little shy. If you give him a few minutes he opens up and just loves getting any attention and affection that he can. He's a quiet fella (I've only heard him bark once in the last week and he doesn't even whimper when getting shots) and good with other dogs. Bubba shows no food or toy aggression. He does his number 2's reliably in the bathroom but he's still working on peeing there. He goes where his bladder takes him and about half the time it's not the bathroom- but we're working on it! He's anywhere from 3 to 5 years old; it's hard to say precisely because his teeth are in such bad shape so a scaling will be needed soon. He's getting a canine flu booster in the next week and after that all of his shots will be done! If you're looking for a sweet and gentle addition to your family, Bubba's your boy.
