Sit down. Let me tell you a story. Would you like some tea? Are you comfy? Good, let's begin.
(This story is absolutely true. I'm not making any of this up.)
When I went to Moran Market to pick up Gyeoul a mere five days ago, we had to stand outside the market with her for about twenty minutes while she tried to figure out, by any means possible, a way to break free from the terrifying beast that currently had her under his control (i.e. me). When we got to my home, we had to coax her for another ridiculous amount of time just to get into the building and up the elevator into my apartment. Finally, when she'd settled in, all of my friends who were helping me went home. I began to get ready for bed; she was lying next to my bed, clearly with no idea of what was going on. At that point, something truly e̶m̶b̶a̶r̶r̶a̶s̶si̶n̶g̶ emotional happened: I began to cry. I turned to her and said (amidst sobs) "I have no idea what I'm doing; please go easy on me." And suddenly, that scared and fragile little dog put her face to mine and nudged me lovingly, as if she realized that I was just as scared as she was, and that everything was going to be okay.
Now, five days later, she's a completely different dog to the fragile thing I once knew. Put your hand out and she'll lick it. Scratch her ear and she'll lean in for more. Walk away and she'll follow you. Rub her belly and I'm pretty sure she'll devote her life to you. Essentially what I'm saying is this: Gyeoul is an amazing dog, and she deserves a loving home more than anything in the world.
At the time that this was written (March 30th, 2014), Gyeoul will be starting her vaccinations this week, and will be going for her spaying surgery on Saturday. If you have any questions about Gyeoul, or if you're interested in coming to meet her, please do not hesitate to contact me :-). Thank you so much for reading and LET'S FIND GYEOUL A HOME!
*Update 4/5*
Gyeoul has been doing well :-). She has been unable to start or vaccinations or get her spaying surgery completed due to a mild cough she's been experiencing. Once she's been cured of that, she'll be going to get spayed. Gyeoul is actually set to travel to the United States to be with a new foster at the end of June. However, if you are still interested in meeting her and potentially adopting her, let me know! She is still available for adoption :-).
Please take a look at some of these videos of Gyeoul :-). Some of them are with her brother Wangja. His profile can be found at http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/dog/2814
