Unfortunately, Molly has traveled a long path to where she is today. She was abandoned on the streets by her first owner, contracted heartworms as a result, was treated and recovered beautifully! Then she spent a year being someones best companion, just to be abandoned in the end over lack of preparation. She was taken into another home just to be abandoned months later from lack of understanding her needs. She ended up at my door step completely neglected, sad and heartbroken, wondering when she could trust again.
Molly would like these characteristics in her next companion:
Are you that person for Molly?

As Miss Molly's foster momma, I can't stress enough what a wonderful dog she is! Everyone falls in love with her - I was recently away for a week and a half, and her dogsitter couldn't get enough of her - I had to practically drag her out of his arms! She just needs someone to love wholeheartedly, forever. Won't it be you?

Yesterday we have received bad news about Ms Molly. They found out that Molly has a tumor growing on the outside of her bladder which has closed off her tube that lets out the urine. They are running test now and getting a prognosis. Please please please keep her in your thoughts. Molly went thru 4 homes in less than 2 years because of selfish reasons. She deserves a happy ending.

Oh I am so thankful! Got this news from her mom and dad today!
"Well, Molly is going to be fine we think. We took her to the Korean Vet College they took molly this morning and did about 8 hours of tests and scans on her and it turns out that it wasn't a tumor blocking her bladder. It turns out Molly is a bit of a mutant.
On the outside she has all the looks of a female, but on the inside she also has half formed male reproductive parts as well(testicles). The doctor said she is neither male nor female and she will never reproduce because the male parts take up where her womb should be and apparently(as far as i understood) this was causing havok inside of her.
The "tumor" turned out to be a balloon like structure inside of her that was filled with a liquid no one seems to know what it is. Anyways, they drained it and told us that we will have to bring her to the vet every 1 or 2 months to make sure it doesn't fill up again and they will keep her there for another day.
The doctor said it was good we paid attention to her pee schedule because anytime a dog pees a lot, it usually signifies a problem...."
I almost cried this morning to read this!

Molly's adopters recently updated KAPS on her above situation. They shared
We are so glad to hear Molly is feeling better! What an amazing case! Molly is such a great little girl. We are so glad she finally found her forever home after searching so long. What amazing adopters too!
Molly's adopters are so very dedicated to their animals. They also foster kittens for KAPS! But most recently they just adopted Tomee. We are waiting for an update, but we expect to hear good things from such a great couple and a wonderful family : )
