Hogan must have lived with a family before because he knows commands. An amazing dog. He is very likely a Belgian Malinois Mix.
High energy level. Hogan's future owner will have to be able to provide physical and mental stimulation Hogan requires. Will match with someone who can keep up with his energy level.
Hogan is healthy, heart worm negative.

Oh no, I thought the family adopted him? Did it not work out?!

I just saw on the forum website that he was adopted. I'm happy and sad. I was looking forward to seeing and possibly adopting him, but happy if he has a good home.

As Hogan's adoption thread states he is available for adoption.

I will move the old thread in the forums out of the "Completed Adoption" section.

He looks exactly like a Belgian Malinois, and from what I'm gleaning about his temperament, he seems to fit that breed of dog to the T. Beautiful.

Sofia, when are you heading to Anseong next? I'd love to see Hogan and bring him home before winter.

Hogan is doing well. Working crate training and house breaking right now. He's a smart dog. Took him to the vet, he has perfect blood work and got him neutered too. His only problem so far is he has high separation anxiety. I cant leave the apartment without him in the cage or he'll destroy quite a few things. I've already lost 2 sweatshirts and a pair of jeans. Love the dog, just gotta keep working with him.

Hey! Just wanted to report that Hogan is still doing great! He's house trained and crate trained. I discovered he had round worms over the winter, which was keeping him so skinny. He's finally gaining weight and is on monthly medication for worms, fleas and ticks. He's really happy and so am I.
My question is does anyone know anymore about his history? I grew up in a military family and I'm used to seeing training for the dogs used by the army. Shepherds are extensively used for both military and police work. While Hogan and I were playing fetch one time, he did bite my jacket at the arm and tried to pull me down, a tactic I've seen used commonly with military dogs. He did so very playfully and let go as soon as I told him to. No harm no foul. But that would explain his being so well trained.
If anyone could let know if they knew anything about his past (he's 5 years old) it would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Just a quick update: I left Korea in August for good and I brought Hogan home to America with me. He didn't like the flight but has since forgiven me for those 14 hrs of hell and is loving life, playing in the yard and making lots of new friends
