Description:
Cara is a great dog. She was already out in the courtyard when I arrived, which means the staff at KAPS has noted that she is an easygoing dog who is trustworthy and good with other dogs. I hung out with her for quite awhile, and I can attest that she is also good with humans! She was an absolute love - sidled right up to me when I came outside, and sat patiently as I brushed her and pet her. She loved when I scratched her face. A bit of her herding tendencies came out as she tried to organize the other dogs- "No, you stupid snubnose! It is not your turn for petting now!" It was quite hot, so I didn't take her on a walk, but she seemed well trained. I wouldn't be surprised at all if she had been someone's pet for quite awhile.
UPDATE: Cara has been adopted! Yay, Cara!

Cara's adopter update us to share, "Cara (now Daisy) is doing awesome. She had mange when we first brought her home but we got it all cleared up and she's nice and healthy! She is house trained, she can sit, lay down, speak, and shake her paw on command. She's just an excellent companion. :)" We are awaiting news on how their PCSing went. We are so happy Cara found a great home.
