UPDATE: I hope everyone said bye to Max on Sunday becasue this time next week he'll be on his way to Canada!
Max has been at Asan for a while I think and he's in one of the not-so-often visited pens on the hill with 3 other dogs. Despite this he's still super friendly and full of beans. He was the most excited in in his pen when I came to visit them and LOVED gettin some pats and being picked up. He was perfect going for a walk and was confident around all the other dogs and people. He paid no attention to cats and was friendly but gentle with the 7ish year old by who was visiting the shelter.
I think hes about 3 years old and probably just under 7kgs. He's not a big dog at all, very compact.
Max is a great guy. He seems like the kind of well rounded dog that would be up for anything, long walks, short walks, lazing round home, cuddles on the couch, anything. He'd be so so greatful to get out of the cold before winter kicks in weather it be to a foster home or an adoptive one. Come and meet Max!

Max has been at Asan for MORE THAN 2.5 YEARS. He gets on well with his dog family at Asan and is always cheerful, but he would love a real home and a forever family to call his own. Could you be his person?
(Pics below from ARK gallery March, April, Oct. 2009 - why is poor Max STILL waiting?)

Oh poor Max. I checked his teeth and he's not old at all. I think younger than 4. He must have been at the shelter almost his whole life. He's such a good looking freindly dog too, its so sad that he's been waiting so long.
He got out for a walk today and seemed to be having fun when I saw him so that's something. Imagine how happy he would be if he could have walks every day!

Glad to hear that Max's health is good. He looks kind of like this dog in my neighborhood, except that dog is all white and furrier.

I didn't see Max in the video of his long-time Asan pen-mates Foxy and Jogger.
Hoping, hoping that means he caught his flight to a new life as a loved doggy in Canada this weekend!
(Now who'd like to give his pen-mates a chance? Those poor babies have been waiting soooooo long.)

Has Max been adopted? Or is he in foster care in Canada?
Kate, I've edited Max's "for foster" status to remove him from the foster listings since he isn't in Korea anymore, but if he has found his forever home you can choose "adopted" as his adoption status and we can then see him in the Adopted Gallery.
In any case, I hope he's having fun!! :)
