Description:

Happy to announce that Jogger has been adopted - by us, his foster family! He will now have as many belly rubs, peanut butter treats and off-road trips to the park as he wants!

Jogger has been with us for almost 3 months now. He is such a fantastic dog, he loves cuddles and is so affectionate.
He really just wants to please you, he sits, lies down and stays all for a treat or just a scratch behind the ears!
He sleeps happily in his crate all night and has had no accidents in the house since his 1st week here. He is taken out for a short bathroom walk 3 times a day and it's all good!
He is not such a scruff anymore as he recently had a haircut and is looking very handsome!

Jogger's character is perfect, he loves (really loves!) going for a good walk in the park but he also really loves being fussed over and cuddling on the sofa! He has a lovely temperament, very friendly.
He gets on great with our dog and loves company, I think he would be best suited to a home with another dog.

Jogger update: Jogger has adapted brilliantly to a home environment. He is now completely up to date with vaccinations, heartworm preventative meds and is a picture of health. He has also stopped crying when left alone and retreats to his crate by himself if he needs a little downtime. He is busy learning a few commands - sit, stay and go to bed, but he is so eager to please that it comes naturally to him!

He is sooo cuddly and chilled. I couldn't have asked for a better foster dog. If you are thinking about adopting an adult dog, please get in touch.

This scruffy little dog is an absolute sweetheart!

I have fostered Joggs for almost three weeks now, so have had a little time to get to know him. He is one of the most affectionate, gentle dogs I have met and LOVES to cuddle on the sofa or roll onto his back for a belly rub. He loves company (of both human and dog variety!) and is fantastic with my other dog - playful but remains patient and calm, even when provoked by a younger, more boisterous pup! He is active and enjoys a good, long walk but is not too demanding.

He has also learnt the rules of living in a house very quickly. He hasn't shown any destructive behaviours. He was incredibly easy to toilet train despite not having lived inside for almost four years (if ever) and now already signals by going to the front door when he needs to go outside. We have had no accidents for more than a week! We are also working on crate training. Jogger cries a little when left alone, but settles after approx 20 minutes and I'm sure this anxiety will improve with consistent training. He is generally quiet and rarely barks.

Jogger has also had a full health check and is almost up-to-date with his vaccinations - the vet also estimated that he is 4-5 years old.

I think Jogger would do best living in a social environment - either with a family, someone with lots of time or a household with another dog. He will make an amazingly loyal friend AND you get to miss the naughty puppy phase! This boy is special and after four years in a cold, lonely shelter, deserves a warm home and a lot of love. Please consider adopting him!

"Jogger is a very special dog. He's one who gets quite easily overlooked. To be honest, I overlooked him all the time until one day I found him cruising around the shelter after somehow escaping his pen. :)
Thinking I'd never be able to catch him, I called him over and over he came! Just like that! He crouched down in submission while I stroked him and then picked him up. I carried him like a baby back to his pen. I felt awful putting him back. I fell in love with him the moment he let me pick him up in my arms. He doesn't look like the cutest dog. He also looks bigger than he actually is. If I didn't already have a house full of dogs I would absolutely foster him in a heartbeat.
Please foster or adopt Jogger! I assure you, you will not regret your decision." - Asan shelter volunteer.

Outgoing, playful and tons of fun! Jogger is awesome! He’s energetic and excited about people and the world around him ~
He's happy and well but still waiting for that special someone...
Poor thing, he's such a loving dog and he's been in the shelter for a long time.

Please foster or adopt Jogger! We assure you, you will not regret your decision.

Jogger did the cutest thing today. I was taking pictures of his pen mate (and girlfriend) Foxy while someone was giving the other dogs treats through the fence. Foxy was too busy posing for the camera to go over there so Jogger grabbed a treat and brought it over to her then gave her a lick on the nose :) He's the sweetest boy.

I don't think he got out for a walk today. Poor jogger, he's such a loving dog and he's been in the shelter for a long time.

That's so nice that Jogger did that and that he has developed strong ties to another dog there. My dog would never give anything away, she's greedy and would steal from other dogs. Wasn't Foxy friends with the dog with one eye, Capt. Sparrow? Is he still there too?

Loving Jogger

Jogger lived up to his name yesterday. He got out (my bad...ok, the gate is mucked) with Foxy and led Patrick and I on a merry chase...naturally, that's the same time Tim got attacked. Pours.

Jogger is an entertaining and determined ball of energy!!! One of the other volunteers and I spent about 10 minutes watching Jogger trying to figure a way out of his pen. It's almost as if he's got Einstein's brain for physics! He tried all kinds of maneuvers in hopes of freedom! We eventually had to wedge a big rock into the hole he had managed to open up for himself. You can just feel his overwhelming desire to be out of the shelter and into a home with a (very) active family! He looks quite dirty right now, probably due to his adventurous spirit, but with a bath or two, he will be a SUPER handsome boy! If you want a dog that combines both energy and intelligence, this would be the dog for you. I bet he'd be great at anything mentally and physically stimulating, perhaps he's a future agility champion! And even though he's full of energy and excitement, he was shockingly gentle when taking small training treats from my fingers. Seriously consider this guy, he will probably never stop entertaining you!

Jogger loves people! Come and see for yourself..

There was no time for Jogger to have a walk today, but that didn't stop the little wriggler from trying to escape!! What Jogger really needs is his own person who can take him for a walk (or jog..hehe!) every single day. Please consider this spunky little guy!
