It has taken me forever to do this because honestly, my heart was broken after losing Rue and didn't want to be anywhere near this site because it made me think of her. Well, I'm finally ready to OFFICIALLY ANNOUNCE that my little foster pup, who came into my life on February 13th scared absolutely shitless (literally), who wouldn't come out of the bathroom for about 2 hours and hid behind her sister, but then instantly changed her mind about me the minute I picked her up and put her on my stomach, is MY DOG! Obviously we've had some rough patches, from fighting with my boyfriend about her long hair (beautiful new haircut btw) and her barking at him every time he walked in the apt, to peeing and pooping all over my apt. While she's still too shy to let strangers touch her, she loves me and ADORES my boyfriend (one of her few tricks is "Get daddy!" and then she runs to him and licks his face so much!). She's learned to do her business in peace and we usually have to let her walk a little bit away so she can have some privacy! I can't wait to take her home so she can meet her big dog cousins Maddy and Chopper. I love you Little Prim, thank you ARK for giving me this special gift!
I've now had Rue and sister Prim for about 2 months and they are really improving! Rue is greeting strangers and sleeping with my boyfriend and Prim has become the best little walker ever! Prim loves to run around at the school playground near my house where she honestly looks like white lightning she's so fast! They are both such sweet dogs and not at all hard to handle together. They love each other and would love to be part of your life! Also, I think they could be fine solo but they are just so cute when they play that you wouldn't want to miss it! Please consider adopting my two little darlings; it would break my heart to say goodbye to them but they need a forever home while they're still puppies! They will steal your heart!
Clover, who is now called Prim (from The Hunger Games ;), Enda is Rue), is such a snuggle puppy! There's nothing she loves more than a warm body and a pillow to share. (She's currently asleep next to me). She loves belly rubs and treats but is still a bit shy. We're working on socializing the pups and they'e slowly getting braver. With me, their foster mom, they're all smiles and cuddles and love but with other people, including foster dad, they're quite shy. But they both have their brave moments and with a forever home, they'll learn to trust easily. Please help these little girls find love and trust!
Edna and Clover, or Rue and Prim, are a pretty closely bonded pair and would do very well with one loving forever mom but I think they could do fine separated and with a family. I hope we can find them a forever family soon though so they can learn to trust and love on their own.
Clover is a sweet little gal who lives at Asan with her brothers and sister. She is shy and gentle, and enjoyed getting her ears scratched and her head rubbed. Clover has grown up at Asan and it's time for her to leave. It is getting very cold, and the shelter is no place for a puppy to grow up. She needs a chance to learn what it's like to be a part of a family. With proper care and attention, I know Clover has the potential to be a wonderful companion to anyone willing to give her a chance. Please consider opening your home to Clover...She would even appreciate a foster home!
From Clover's first foster mom:
"When we first started fostering the dogs, it seemed good that we had them both together. But it's been increasingly clear that when the girls are together, they are able to hide behind one another and they tend to panic more. We've taken to walking them separately because of this, with much better results. So, we are hoping that somebody might be able to provide a full-time home for one of them as soon as possible."
Also, the foster-family's work schedule has changed unexpectedly, and they are unable to give Clover or Edna the amount of care they require to help them overcome their shyness:
"Our employer has been increasing our hours lately (which unfortunately is allowed under our contract) and we've been home less than usual. Last week, we had to stay at our school and we were forced to board the dogs for three nights. Since they came home, they have been hiding under the couch, pretty much all day. The dogs have all of their physical needs met, it is warm here and they have plenty of food and water. But we are really only able to spend time with them on the weekends now, and the small bit of progress that we see on the weekends tends to disappear completely during the week. We are really worried about their developing relationships with humans, and we think that if it is possible, it might be best to try to find them another foster home with somebody that lives closer to their job."
If you think you could help Clover in any way, please contact me ASAP. Thank you!

This sweet girl needs a foster or forever home stat! Last time i was there, her and her siblings were so shy they did not want to be picked up and also have no idea how to walk on a leash. She will pick up walking on a leash and housetraining SO fast right now! This may be more of a challenge later on. She is such a sweet, cuddly girl once you pick her up. Please consider her during this very important formative time in her life!

From Clover's foster parents:
"These adorable dogs are sisters and were raised at Asan shelter. They have been living with us, their foster parents for about a month, and having been doing so well! They are lovely girls and really deserve their own forever home!"

When I had the flu this weekend, the girls stayed snuggled up next to me. Wouldn't you like a snuggle buddy? Adopt Edna or Clover!

I am the new foster mom of both Edna and Clover (renamed Rue and Prim). These pups are soooo funny! Sometimes they can be shy but they absolutely love cuddling and make me laugh everyday. They are still working on training but they're improving. They've been to the vet and Prim (Clover) did so well! Rue was a little handful but she's got a nose for trouble. That's kind of why I like her! At the moment they're napping against my legs and they look so content. However, they need some socialization so if you would like to meet these two little fluff balls, please let me know! They need more human friends so they can learn to trust.

Prim is very good at going in the right spot when we go out for walks. However, she has a peeing problem when it comes to strangers coming in the house. She's getting better but does need some work. Prim is very sweet and loves me a lot and I think would be great with a small family. I'm sure she will love your daughter too. Are you at all interested in Rue too? They are very bonded and if you could open your hearts and homes to both, it might be easier for you and them. Rue is house trained but also pretty shy. Please let me know what you think.

Thanks. How does that work if Rue is house trained and Prim is not? Please delve more into your comment that it might be easier for US and them if we take them both. I do realize they are bonded....but it seems that two dogs means double the commitment(?)

I'm not sure how it ended up that Rue is house trained and Prim isn't. That's just how they came to us. They both need more training, which we're working on but Rue is better. Maybe because she's a little more mischievous and curious than Prim so she gets talked to more (if you get what I mean). Prim would prefer to just lay around and cuddle on the bed and sometimes that can lead to pee problems when she gets scared. She really doesn't pee in the house unless someone scares her. On walks, she's better than Rue; she knows where to go while Rue needed to learn not to pee on a welcome mat (but that's taken care of).
What i mean about being better for you is that you don't have to feel bad leaving them alone and also they will probably warm up to you a lot faster. We've recently noticed that they are frightened of men but will warm up to women. Rue is much braver and will friendly up to men after a few treats and Prim takes notice of that and will come around eventually. I know it means double commitment but they're really not that hard. It's almost feels like they're one dog in two bodies. They sleep together, eat when the other eats, and just have slightly different personalities. They're easy to walk even though they love to stop and sniff, and they're very fun to watch together. Having two dogs at home, I think the dynamic is much better and happy for the dogs and hopefully for you too. I really think it would be best if you could meet them to better understand all this. Do you live in Seoul? Please email me for more information. [email protected]

Prim is doing great! We moved to Jeju in January and she's loving it! She loves to dig her whole face into the sand at the beach, sits on my lap while I drive, and has so many new friends including humans!!! Of course every second I wish that Rue was here too but I get to see her in my dreams and in Prim's happy face. Thanks for asking, that's so sweet!
