Santa

Santa is a 3 to 4 months old stray puppy we found on Christmas Day (hence the name). Because he doesn't seem to have had an owner before (we have contacted our local animal shelter, who were unable to locate one), he is somewhat shy around people, but he is very friendly toward other dogs. He is perfectly fine playing wrestle with my dog or chewing on a toy while I'm busy. But he also seems happy whenever I walk nearby, pet him or talk to him. He doesn't seem to be comfortable receiving ear scratches or belly rubs yet, but hey, he is just a playful and loving puppy whose personality is still very much malleable. In the few days I have had him, he was able to learn his name, the command "sit" and "no", albeit not perfectly, but definitely not bad for a baby who is still bumping into things when running! By the way, he is a very fast runner and those cute chubby paws make me think that he is going to grow up to be quite a good sport for an active person! I would have adopted Santa if I wasn't already taking my dog home to Australia in a few weeks. I know he is still a bit young and therefore a lot to handle, but I'm sure with some patience and a lot of love, he will become the perfect companion for you!
