I don't know where to begin with Kokua. I really believe she was a little angel puppy that was sent at the right time. I found her near a bus station with no one near to claim as her owners and was afraid to leave her by herself.
The ONLY reason I am not keeping her is because 2 days prior to finding her, I had adopted a dog (Kalea, formerly known as Choco) from Asan Shelter. Kalea was EXTREMELY timid and fearful and Kokua has been such a godsend in just being a "normal" puppy and helping Kalea become more comfortable in her surroundings. They both get along great, but there are still a lot of things I need to work on with Kalea on our own.
Kokua is just a sweet puppy. As with any puppy, she likes to chew on things but that can easily be distracted with good dog toys. She is getting pretty good with the pee pads, but she will need additional and consistent training, especially since she will be in a new surrounding. She loves to fetch her toys, she eats well, and loves human attention. She loves to go on walks. Sometimes if she sees another dog though, she will bark at them. I think it's just a matter of socializing he and getting her exposed to more dogs.
I would love to see her go to a home with an owner that will have the time, patience, and love that she deserves. This one's a catch ;)
The vet believes she is about 4 months old. Kokua is up to date on all of her vaccinations and also got a microchip implanted. All of the paperwork and medical records will be given to the new owner.
