April 28th: Good news, everyone! Ringo went to his foster home today. Let's cross our fingers for this little guy and hope he soon finds his forever home. Thank you, Ciara! :) Here is an update from Ringo's new foster mom:
"I know it's only been day one, but I wanted to give you an update. You were right though. As soon as I took Ringo for a "walk" at the station, he vomited all over his crate. Knowing we would have a long ride, I went to the bathroom, cleaned it out, cleaned him up and used my coat for him to lay on (I will not be using that coat again...haha...good thing it was already in bad shape). He was fine as soon as the subway was over, kisses and the likes included. But he is terrified of walking. I think he just needs to get used to it, he's so used to being around his family and not around a bunch of cars and buildings. As soon as I got him home and bathed however, I now have an adorable shadow following around the house. He is so sweet and affectionate, and is so quiet. Only so much as making the occasional whimper when he wants to be pet. He is very playful, but also loves to cuddle and settled down instantly when it was bed-time. Also, he used his potty-pads right away. No accidents yet. Hooray. Hoping to have him fully potty-trained soon."

Ringo is a friendly, bouncy, healthy baby boy who was born at Asan a little over two months ago. His mom was brought to the shelter already pregnant, and gave birth to a litter of four puppies. (3 boys and 1 girl) These little cuties will be on the medium to small side when they are full grown I would guess, since their mama is not very big. The sooner they are adopted, the better! It's important for them to begin socializing (both with people and other dogs) early, so if you are interested in Ringo, his brothers or his sister, please contact me at [email protected].

The adorable little ball of full has already made himself at home too. With a clean bath and a full tummy he plopped himself in his doggy bed, after having a conversation with his reflection in the TV.

From Ringo's foster mom: "He's had a few accidents, but no chewing on anything really unless he's playing around. He's a good dog. He really is. Doesn't bark, and never bites. Just the occasional playful chew on my clothes. But I can tell he has some separation issues at the moment. When I leave or don't acknowledge him he makes some terribly sad whimpering noises. I know it will get better once more trust between us has developed and he knows I'm not abandoning him. Best of all is that he's gaining more confidence on the leash! We went on our second walk yesterday! He is still terribly shy around strangers at first, and if we pass by anyone he'll stop or maybe sit and wait till they pass. But when it's just the two of us we do fine (which isn't common in Korea). He sleeps all through the night too, which surprised me the most."
