Luna is a 3-legged hedgehog. We got her from a friend who could no longer have her because she was deploying to Afghanistan now she lives in barracks and the Army does not allow any pets in the barracks. So, she cannot take her back. I will not be able to keep her where I am moving to the states because Hedgehogs are not legal there. :-( She is at least 3 years old. However, we are not entirely sure of her age because she was purchased at Lotte Mart and there was a language barrier. She is naturally a recluse and enjoys her alone time. She likes to run around in her ball and on her wheel. She obviously has a natural defense against other pets. I have a dog who has been pricked by her and now just leaves her alone. Last winter she had a strange growth on her front paw. We took her to the vet and because the growth was so big the vet recommended removing her leg. The leg was sent to a lab for testing and was found to have cancer in it. The vet explained that the cancer was definitely limited to the paw area and that by removing the whole leg that cancer was completely taken care of. She has adapted well to 3-legged walking, running in her wheel, and ball.
