*Update-June 20th*
The fantastic Frodo has been officially adopted. His trial foster went really well and his new parents love him. Good luck little Frodo.
*Update-May 20th*
Frodo went home with a lovely couple today for a trial adoption. Good luck, little man. Hopefully, Frodo will get on well in his new home in Daegu.
*Update-May 13th*
Frodo came back to the shelter on Sunday to meet a couple that wanted to adopt him. It looks like they loved this friendly little guy, so hopefully Frodo will be moving to Daegu for his forever home soon.
*Update-April 24th*
Frodo is doing well in foster care. He has had a shave so all his matted hair has been removed, he must be feeling much better. It looks like Frodo will have to stay in foster care for another few weeks to recover from his eye infection.
*Update-April 8th*
Poor Frodo. On Sunday it was discovered by our vet that Frodo had a eye problem and needed immediate treatment. Luckily, a wonderful volunteer has taken Frodo home to ensure that he fully recovers.
*Update-February 27th*
I will be out of the country for a few months so a lovely volunteer named Claire will be taking over my profiles to make sure they don't expire! You can contact either of us with any questions, but she will be faster to answer. However, I am still more than willing to help if you need me:-)
*Update-February 18th*
I've asked volunteers to write about their favorites at BAPS and here's what one had to say about Frodo,
"Frodo is probably the happiest dog we have at the BAPS shelter right now. He’s a bit of a goof ball and just rearing to get out and play with volunteers and other dogs on our weekly volunteering day every Sunday. He’s got a great personality and wants nothing more than to be everyone’s friend. He simply thrives on attention, whether it be K9 or human.
He’s a bit of a puller on leash but nothing a firm hand can’t control. A few basic exercises with him showed that he’s just SO thrilled to be out in the open getting his big weekly walk. He did learn after a few tries of stopping and staying that we moved when I said we could. After half a dozen tries he stood perfectly still looking up at me, on a slack leash, waiting for the go ahead to catch up to the other dogs that were far ahead of us at this point.
I really love this guy and hope he gets that special person or those special people who will make his life as happy and great as I know he will make theirs."
*February 4th*
Frodo was one of the 12 dogs of Christmas. He came to BAPS November 29th. He is a sweet little dog who seriously loves other dogs! He enjoys the weekly walks and loves all the attention from the volunteers. Poor guy seems to go hoarse from barking all the time but that’s just because he is only able to get out of his cage once a week and for such a short amount of time. Frodo would make a great pet, he just needs to be shown what that means and that it comes with a whole lot of love! He pulls a little on the leash (especially to get to all the other dogs:-)) but that wouldn’t take too long to change.
Medical history:
Up to date on vaccinations.
Not yet neutered.
Heartworm negative!
Frodo is a BAPS dog, which means anyone interested in fostering or adopting him will need to complete the adoption application (http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application) and volunteer two Sundays in a row (from 11-3) at our shelter. For an adoption, one must complete a month long trial to make sure you and the dog are a good fit! You can visit the shelter page for more information!
*BAPS also has a sponsorship program. Anyone interested can give 200,000 won for a dog to have their full health check, be neutered or spayed, and get any necessary dental work. If you are interested in sponsoring Frodo, please let me know!

Frodo is such a great little dog. If you are looking for an extremely LOW maintenance couch potato, Frodo is the guy for you. He would sleep all day if he was allowed but he still gets excited when he goes out for walks and does a funny little dance for his dinner. He is such a great cuddler too, I think he's a little chubby for his size so he is really easy snuggle with. He walks really well on the leash too. I would say the best thing about Frodo is that he is very tolerant of other dogs that may even be annoyinh him he will just ignore them. At the vet too he doesn't seem to mind getting shots or getting his ears cleaned. He is such a gem!
