Sophie was abandoned at our vet's office yesterday. She was very scared and stressed when we were there : ( Poor thing had a rough day- abandoned by her owner of three years then given a major (ridiculous) haircut and stuck in a tiny cage! She was not at her best, personality-wise, I am sure, but we managed to get a few photos. I am sure Sophie is a very nice kitty- she did not try to bite or scratch, she was just terrified and distracted-not in the mood to cuddle. Sophie is sooo pretty- a Himalayan or Persian mix, the vet's not sure. Her coloring is beautiful and her coat, well, what's left of it is soooo soft. I forgot to ask about her medical history, so I will update that (vaccine status/ fixed or not) soon. We are looking for a forever or a foster home for her. If distance is an issue, contact us anyway and maybe we can work something out!
Here are a couple clips of Sophie- keep in mind she had a rough day

Hi Louise, thank you for getting in touch. Someone here in Jeonju expressed interest in adopting her, however it's been four days and I haven't heard a peep. Let me contact this individual and see what's going on. I will let you know as soon as I can. Thank you again : )

Ok, the other person apparently didn't think it was important to let me know she changed her mind, so YES, Sophie still needs a foster home. Here is some information on fostering that I like potential foster parents to read, so they understand what their responsibilities are: http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/foster
Would the people you know be able to travel to Jeonju?

Thank you Janine^^, we have a foster home here in Jeonju pending- I'll find out Tuesday if it will work out. Another person also contacted me to foster as a back up. I'll let you know how things go. Also, our vet just had a 6-7 month old female cat abandoned yesterday that I have not posted on ARK yet- she is a DOLL!! She has a real baby-face and is a tri-color with a med. coat. Such a cutie! I will post her on ARK this evening, if you want to take a look^^

Hi Janine, sorry I did not have time to make her profile last night- I don't think there are any pathogens that can transfer between cats and other species such as chinchillas. Parasites and ringworm (fungus) would be my concern, however, Dr. Lee will be administering an anti-parasitic and she has no symptoms of ringworm. If she has ear mites he will treat them. It is also his policy to keep new cats for 10 days to watch for any health issues. She looks healthy- gorgeous coat, bright eyes. Definitely too pretty for a life as a street cat!

Wow that is quite amazing of your vet!! Let me talk to the hubby, but due it'll be fine as long as there's no ringworm ;) The only thing then is getting her to is in Anyang, any ideas?

Hi Janine, sorry I did not get back sooner- I was sick. Sophie has been adopted- she's found her forever home, so that's great news! Concerning Cosette, the new kitty, I was just contacted by someone here in Jeonju who may be able to foster her. I am hoping to hear back soon. If I don't hear back in the next few days, I think my husband and I could meet you in Cheongju or Cheonan, if that works for you. -I will be in touch^^
