hIRO HAS BEEN ADOPTED!
Yay! We are so happy for this darling boy and his new daddy!
Hiro is settling in well to his new home =)
Unfortunately he has tested positive for heartworm. As you all know, heartworm treatment is quite expensive. Any donations would be appreciated.
=)
Why is this sweet boy still waiting for his forever home??!!!
UPDATE: April
HIRO IS STILL WAITING!!
Everyone that visits this sweet boy falls in love with him! He is still waiting for that right person to come along and give him a chance! Please consider helping Hiro along his way by fostering and sharing his information.
UPDATE: March
Hiro enjoyed having visitors this weekend =) He just loves people. This is what they said:
"Hiro was very happy to see his visitors today. He even got to go on a walk and stretch his legs! He was given heartworm prevention today and some yummy sausages to go with it. He is a very happy dog who craves affection."
Hiro was given heartworm prevention meds on March 15th =)
UPDATE: Feb 9th
I went to visit Hiro again today. I fall more and more in love with this boy everytime I see him. He just loves people and it's really hard not to love him back. I really feel that Hiro was someone's well cared for pet... He is good with people and is craving human attention. He just isn't suited to shelter life at all.
I took him for a little walk, even though he is a little jindo - he sure is strong! He was so excited to go outside! I had such a difficult time leaving Hiro today.. he was clearly upset when I walked away =(
Please consider fostering or adopting this beautiful boy!
UPDATE: Feb 3
Yesterday, I was able to meet Hiro. He is a really friendly dog. Hiro is clearly used to being around people... it seems like he was someone's pet.... not a chained guard dog. He loves attention and being touched. Naturally, he seems quite stressed at the shelter.
Hiro is a strong boy and would need a home with someone that is accustomed to handling medium-large breeds. I'm sure he would make a great hiking companion and like most jindos he would probably be content living in an apartment.
Please consider fostering or adopting our beautiful Hiro.
Hiro is a new dog at Asan Shelter. He was saved from the pound by Mr Park.
He looks like he was someone well-cared for pet. He was in good shape when he arrived at the pound. Hiro is about 2 years old. We don't have much information on him at the moment, but will hopefully have more soon!
Please keep checking his profile for updates =)

Hiro is one of the nicest Jindos I've ever met. He is 100% love. A nice, stocky build - he would make a fabulous running partner. He would also love to cuddle you and kiss you to death! :) Sujin took him for a lovely long walk and we tried to get her to put him back to take another dog...she was very reluctant ;) I don't blame her! Look at him!

May 31, 2014: Hiro received Frontline, and heartworm prevention. He also got a bath! He didn't love it, but he did pretty great! Will comment with pictures soon.
