--INTRO: The happiest and fluffiest puppy ever. He is the first puppy I've met that is perfectly comfortable being left alone. He's quiet in his pen or another room with no problem.
--AGE: ~9 weeks old as of March 10th
--WEIGHT: 1.5 kg (3.3 lbs)
--HISTORY: He was lucky to be plucked from a kill shelter with a few other pups. He was lucky to survive--sadly, not all of the other puppies lived. He needs luck once more to find his forever home.
--HEALTH: After an exam and a battery of tests, Wiggles has been declared a happy and healthy puppy. He's been dewormed; tested for parasites, giardia, canine influenza, distemper, parvo, and corona; and groomed (bathed, nail trimmed, 'clean' or shaved feet, and a puppy trim). His vet will be administering vaccines next week.
--TEMPERAMENT: I've worked with many dogs and puppies throughout the years, but Wiggles is EXTREMELY eager-to-please and friendly towards people. Like all puppies, he's absolutely delighted when others are around. Unlike most puppies, Wiggles is uniquely confident and comfortable playing in his pen alone! From his first night, there wasn't any whimpering, whining or crying(!). I've worked with many dogs, but found so few that are as good as he at being alone in his pen or in a different room without ANY training. He is bouncy, silly, sweet but wonderfully quiet.
--TRAINING: We are crate-and-pen-training him and using puppy pads. He loves his crate and pen, and uses his puppy pads well for his age group. He will also use them during his 'free' (and supervised) playtimes. We're also ensuring he's positively exposed to new sounds, smells, and types of people (tall men, children, etc). He's an experienced commuter by bus and car.
We use treat-and-praise-based training, which is easy as he loves food and cuddles. He mastered the 'sit' and 'down' command very quickly, and we're working on 'stay'. He comes when we call in the house and will stop when we say 'nope' (it keeps him from going under the bed!). He has fantastic recall, too. As we brush him every few days of so, he's becoming comfortable with at-home grooming. We clip his nails and examine his teeth, ears, and paws with no concerns. :)
-------------Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)----------------------
(1) I'D LIKE TO SEE WIGGLES. CAN I COME MEET HIM?
---Yes! If you'd like to meet Wiggles, we ask that you submit an application beforehand. This helps us ensure that those best suited and committed to caring for Wiggles do meet him. It also minimizes disruptions for him, and makes the scheduling process much easier on us :) Also, if after meeting him, you feel he's not 'The One', you're more than welcome to withdraw your application (which, I guarantee, will be nearly impossible. He's THAT cute).
(2) *WHAT IS THE 'OBSERVATION PERIOD'? CAN I TAKE HIM HOME RIGHT NOW (March 10th)?
---To help ensure that owners receive physically healthy and well-adjusted pets, CRK--the rescue that gave me Wiggles--places puppies rescued from shelters on a 'observation' period in a foster home prior to their adoption. Pets receive veterinary care and grooming, begin their training, and get much-needed rest in a loving foster home. Their behavior and health are monitored closely during this period, making the adoption process an easier transition for both pets and owners. ***We won't withhold his puppy antics from you, though: Wiggles will be ready to go to his home once he's 11 weeks old.***
(3) HOW DO I SUBMIT AN APPLICATION? WHERE IS THIS APPLICATION?
---The link is here: http://www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application and you can send it to [email protected]
(4) WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
---We live near Dangjeong station in the city of Gunpo, which is four stops away from Suwon station on the subway.
Thank you!

I met Wiggles yesterday!! So cute!! He is so well behaved! His foster mommy is doing a great job training. He was so excited to see new people at first but after like twenty minutes he totally tired himself out and fell asleep. Good luck Wiggles!!
