Deena is a super cute, ultrafriendly and very loving dog!
She walks beautifully on a leash and is looking for someone to show her there is more to life.
We are hoping that someone super special will welcome Deena home with open arms.
She is fully house-trained, and in all other ways a great roommate. While she is very friendly and sweet natured, she isn't at all demanding. She responds to attention of course, but she never begs or bothers for it. She almost never barks at all, and certainly never at people. She has a very friendly trusting character. No trouble at all to transport. She really really enjoys the company of other dogs. She would make a wonderful companion for anyone.
So many wonderful pets are given up each day through no fault of their own. Adopting your next companion instead of purchasing a puppy helps save the life of one very deserving animal. Consider Deena!

I spent some 1:1 time with Deena at the shelter yesterday. She melted my heart from the moment she got out of her cage. Shes a super cute snuggle bug. We walked for a bit, but she just enjoyed rolling on my lap and taking in all the attention. Deena would be GREAT for someone seeking a cuddle companion, and one who likes walks, and just hanging around the apartment!! please consider Deena she would make your day that much better :)

Deena caught my eye yesterday--she seemed to be communicating with a strong force, "Pick me for a walk!" and we spent lots of time hanging out yesterday. She seems quite young to me, so she is on the low side of the 3-8 year old category. She is light and easy to handle--did indeed enjoy walking but just enjoyed life--enjoyed being out of her cage.
She tolerated the photographer Hamish taking lots of photos on a random rock on the road--I'll post one when he finished. She seems to have that intelligence that I've seen in Schnauzer's so often, and such amazing markings. Deena is a gem. Come meet her! She is available for foster or adoption.

This sweet girl is an amazing companion! She is so friendly, ready to give kisses, and so calm among the chaos of the shelter. She is wise beyond years and ready to go home with you! She is always the first dog that I go see when I visit. I am so excited for the day that she isn't there because she has found her forever home. Please be that person - she will seriously be the best friend that you could ever have.

Deena got the prize for 'Best walk' from me yesterday. She is an awesome, friendly, loving, confident, independent dog I'd say. She's just so easy!

Deena is now in foster care in Daejon. The foster mom felt that she would be easily adopted and she is hoping she can bridge the winter cold and Deena's forever home. We are so glad that Deena gets a respite from the harsh winter; she is waiting to meet you.

Deena had an eventful day yesterday! She took the train to Daejon, and had her vet check. She is in pretty good condition, just a little thin. She is heartworm free, and she has no issues with her eyes or skin. She needs to get her shots, so we'll be working on that over the next few weeks. She does have an immunity to Distemper however, which means she is one of the very few dogs to survive this disease. She's tough! The vet said that it has had no lasting impact on her or anything, in fact he seemed surprised that she had suffered it. She was OK with being handled at the vet's, and looked to people for reassurance when she was uncertain.
Personality wise she seems so sweet and relaxed. She takes things in her stride, and always has a keen interest in her surroundings. She stayed overnight at the vet's last night, so she'll be coming back to mine tonight. I'll keep you updated as to her progress!

Oh good to hear that she's got a foster home. It seemed like she was due to get out of there soon, just like Cherry. She must have a strong immune system, which is excellent news. Do you have a better estimate on her age?

I visited Deena yesterday and went along on a trip to the vet. Wow, what a great dog! She was amazingly calm during her vet exam and the taxi ride. Just sweet, good-natured, and cheerful. Seriously, the best dog ever!

Deena has settled into living in a home very nicely indeed! She is fully house-trained, and in all other ways a great roommate. If I need to close her out of a room for a while she doesn't kick up any fuss at all. While she is very friendly and sweet natured, she isn't at all demanding. She responds to attention of course, but she never begs or bothers for it. She almost never barks at all, and certainly never at people. In one day she met two plumbers, several family members and a friend, and she greeted everybody with a wagging tail. She has a very friendly trusting character and I'm sure she will fit in well with anyone! She has been very calm on her vet visits, and no trouble at all to transport. She really really enjoys the company of other dogs, but I suspect she wouldn't live well with cats. She loves her walks, even with the weather we have been having. She can go and go and go! She would make a wonderful companion for anyone, and with her sweet nature I'm sure it won't be long til you can't imagine life without her!

It is hard to get a picture of Deena. She is too interested in the camera! Here are two low resolution ones I sneaked with my laptop. She is so cute and very snuggly and affectionate. She is still looking for a permanent home. She is so friendly and confident, she would fit in with anybody.

Deena is awesome, awesome, awesome! My daughter who is fostering Deena and I take our dogs out together for walks sometimes, and I have to say that Deena is GREAT on walks! She loves to be out and never pulls or shows any stubborn behavior (unlike my little buddies ;) When Deena drops in for a visit, she clearly likes to be around other dogs. She's also becoming quite a little love bug. For anyone who likes schnauzers, Deena has all of their charm, but is kind of calm for a schnauzer. She's amazingly smart too! You couldn't ask for a better dog.

hey well im moving to korea in june with my family and since were going to be there for a couple of years we thought it be a good idea to maybe adopt a dog. Though my only conserns are if she knows any comands, does she bark much, does she respond to her name, Deena, and how good she is walking on a leash. We have only little experience with dogs, if you could give us more info i would appreciate that.
