Ewok

A student of mine was followed home by an adorable little mini-ewok last week. He didn't dare leave her out in the cold, so he brought her to me, knowing I'm a softie for animals.

She and I paid a visit to my vet who said she is 2-3 years old and in seemingly good health, though a little underweight.

She appears to be mostly housebroken and well socialized with people of all ages. My students are helping me try to find her owner, as she seems to have been well-cared for, although dirty and hungry from (I'm guessing) a couple of days of wandering.

The problem is that I'm not supposed to have a dog in my apartment. My school has been patient thus far, but I really need to find other arrangements for her.

I am more than happy to continue the search for her owner, but I cannot keep her in my home.

She is a real sweetie! The only time I have heard her bark was the first couple of times I left her in the apartment to go to work or to the store. She seems to have realized, however, that I'm going to come back, and she no longer raises a ruckus when I leave.

She's had some accidents on the floor (only pee), but that's probably because I have to be gone for most of the day. I get the feeling that her previous living situation must have had a doggie door and a patio or courtyard that she had access to at will. She is quite intelligent and I think could be trained to use a doggie mat.

PLEASE contact me ASAP if you are in the Gwangju area and are able to care for her while we work on finding permanent arrangements for her!

I can deliver her, along with a collar and leash and a few weeks' worth of food.
