6/3.. Jackson is now in foster care with a family in Paju.
2/7.. Let the good times roll! Jackson was NEUTERED!! Now hes one step closer to meeting his forever match.. Jackson made it through winter at Asan, but is hopeful that Spring is his lucky season and he finds a great, loving family. Are you looking for someone to get you out of the house, an adventure buddy.. a chill dude that will get you lots of attention? Look no further!
Ever seen a pug/grizzly bear mix!?
Well.. now you have!! Jackson looks like a mix of the two, without the grizzly attitude. This little guy arrived to the shelter around Christmas (directly from the city pound), and loves to play. Hes indepedent yet not one that will refuse any love. I bet he'll keep a careful watch over you at all times.. Hes 100% love, and no bite!
If your interested in meeting Asans "grizzly" for a potential foster or adoption, please send an email to Sofia at [email protected]

Jackson came in to the shelter with Choco. They were roomies for quite some time but are now separated. Chooco and he look a bit lonely so please try to walk them together if possible.
Jackson is very cool. I think he might be housetrained 'cause he is very eager to poop outside.

Jackson is absolutely adorable! Love those eyes! We're hoping to get down there and walk him again, it looks like one of our fosters will be getting adopted in a couple weeks and we'll have a spot open up!

Jackson is recovering from his surgery very nicely! He had a ton of energy today; he was very frisky and happy. I don't think he realizes his "manhood" has been removed. :)

I saw him last weekend. He's up on the hill in a pen with some small shy dogs. He has lots of room to move. He is still VERY people-friendly and eager to please! Someone take the wee boy!

I bet he's happy up on the hill. He was always so excited to get out and get moving. I wish I could take him right now! He really is the cutest guy ever.

I think he is. His soulful eyes are painfully hard to leave up there. I wish I could take him sometimes, too.

I'd be afraid of fostering him, lest he never leave...:)

How is Jackson doing? Is he still looking for a foster home? He is absolutely adorable!! My husband and I would be interested in fostering him.

Great! How is he health wise? Also, has he been around kids before? We have a one year old daughter and that's one of the most important things. We want to make sure he would be ok around her! :)

I have taken my kids to the shelter to walk and play with him. They are 3 and 1. Jackson definitely doesn't seem aggressive, but you should still not let them play together unsupervised. Being in the shelter, it is hard to tell if any animal will be aggressive around food or toys, or how they will react to being poked and pulled. I would suggest testing these things before interaction with your daughter. But don't let that scare you, Jackson is super super cute and I know you'll fall in love with him as soon as you see him!

Hi Sam and Mike, thanks for your interest in Jackson! Have you filled out an application to foster yet? If you haven't, you have to fill out an application and be approved for fostering before meeting Jackson. You can find a copy of the application here: www.animalrescuekorea.org/adoption-application. (We use the same one for fostering and adoption.)

So I was reading about Asan animal shelter and it says that they no longer offer the volunteering program or fostering. Is Jackson not available to foster anymore?

Yes, Jackson is available for foster, the information about Asan shelter will be updated shortly. :) Sam and Mike, may I ask who you sent your application to? The adoption coordinator for Jackson hasn't received an application from you.^^
Jackson had a wonderful walk today with his pal, Clyde. He had to stop for a little break halfway through because it was so hot out today!
