~~Luna~~ Lucky go happy! :D
Luna is a sweet, beautiful and very lovable girl! She has come so far since I've been fostering her, no longer being afraid of being petted by other people and to walk far distances from the house. Luna is housebroken, and she's great on her leash. She is a real low maintenance and laid back dog; all she asks is that you take her for a walk every day, and let her hang out next to you and rub her belly in the morning. She really deserves a great family who will love her to pieces for the rest of her life. If you think you'd be a good match for Luna please contact me at [email protected]
Watch this adoption promotion video of LUNA!~~
Appearance:
Luna has a soft white fur with some golden spots on her ears, tail and toes. She weighs about 7kg.
Health status:
- Luna is heartworm free. She gets heartworm prevention once a month.
- She is up-to-date with her vaccinations: Luna has had antibodies (level 6, which is the highest level) to most diseases, which means she must have been immunized at some point of her life. While being with me, she got vaccination against rabies and influenza. She's been also microchipped as of November 2012.
- Luna is an overall healthy dog and the vets estimated her age to be between 2 and 5 years old.
Personality and Behaviour:
Luna is timid and somewhat sensitive and it will take some time and patience for any potential adopter to gain Luna's trust. But she does warm up quickly and then she's truly lovable and will be a loyal companion to you!
Over the summer, I left Luna with a sitter and though she had a tough start, she soon got adapted to her sitter and felt comfortable in the new environment.
Luna almost never barks and is basically a low maintenance dog, due to her calm character.
She simply LOVES being outside: she's the happiest camper, whenever she can go for her daily walks and sniff every centimeter of the way.
Luna is housetrained and while I'm gone for work, she never chews on anything and I never had to crate her, even though I'm gone for almost 10 hours a day (I work from 8am-4pm, but have 1 hour commuting). She is also very good with my two cats and she's ok living with other dogs. While staying at the pet sitter, she lived 10 days with a female boston terrier and they both got along very well, playing together and becoming friends.
My bed has become Luna's favourite spot and she enjoys snuggling in bed after waking up in the morning and asking for belly rubs. :) She is such a sweet and lovable girl, I want her to find a wonderful loving family to match!
Food preferences:
Luna eats dry food as well as wet food. She's also very happy when I give her some fresh raw chicken to chew on, every once in a while.
Please consider Luna, this special little treasure deserves a loving and caring fuurrever home!~~If you have any questions or would like to meet her, just contact me!~~
October 13th:
Luna is as adorable as ever, waiting patiently for that special someone to take her home forever. Her fur is starting to grow back from her summer shave. Here is one video that shows how excited she gets, when we're about to leave for her daily walk!
November 2nd:
From next week on, Luna will be getting training from a professional dog trainer to get her more social and outgoing. She is her usual lovable self and she has adpapted very well to me working full time now. :)
November 13th:
Luna has started training with a professional dog trainer yesterday. She will have 13 training session, that will hopefully help getting her more social and confident. The training yesterday went very well, Luna is very smart and is eager to learn! :) Next week, we'll make a video and I'll try to post it here as well. So stay tuned!~

Hey, I just wanted to say that I've seen all the hard work you do with promoting Luna. I think it's really helping! Between ARK and Craig's, you're giving her a lot of great exposure. Keep it up! I feel like her forever home is near. :)

I had the pleasure of meeting Luna today. Though shy, she is a very sweet girl : ) Her foster mom and I talked about getting her more comfy with her carrier and how to work on her becoming more social, specifically with other doggies. We're planning to meet up again with my big Golden girl to work on some socialization soon! Please consider lovely Luna, she needs a chance to shine - she's super sweet & a quiet lil gal ^^

Luna is such a wonderful and sweet girl. She is so gentle, well-behaved and friendly! She really loves to go for walks, and sniffing is her passion.^^
Things I love about Luna:
1. She is friendly towards everyone, even though she's very timid (even the vet said, she's so friendly though she was obviously afraid)
2. She isn't a picky eater
3. She doesn't bark when I leave her home alone
4. She doesn't chew on any shoes or furniture and I don't need to crate her
5. She is gentle and kind
6. She is calm
7. She is as lazy as I am, but always up for a walk
8. She isn't needy
9. She walks very nicely on her leash
11. She loves to sleep with me on the bed
12. Her tail is always wagging

Luna is an amazing dog! I was lucky enough to petsit Luna for 2 weeks and she could not have been more low maintenance. I agree with everything her foster mom has to say about her. I have a Boston terrier who is a little bit of a dominant personality and although there was some initial tension they got along very well by the end of the first day and were able to hand out and take walks together without much difficulty. She always has a smile on her face and is very independent. A good dog for someone that isn't able to care for a pet that needs lots of attention. She is so mild-mannered, even with her traumatic past, and I am sure with continued love and care she will be an incredible companion to whoever wants to give her a forever home.
