Meet CUPID! He came into my life around Valentine's Day... what a sweet little gift! He is shy at first, but once he comes around is super playful and snuggly. He is a perfect companion! Gentle, quiet (barks only when he's really excited), and super nice.
When Cupid's picture was first discovered by a volunteer, he didn't look good. He was in a pound all the way in Masan. By Korean law, we could only take him out after 10 days. Judging by the look of him, how could he make it? Well, his sweet little face was too much to forget, so when we found out he was still alive, a plan was worked out and he was brought up to Seoul.
You wouldn't believe he's the same sad little dog in that picture!!! He's so full of love, playfulness, and affection. And the best part is, he's relatively healthy! His skin is in bad shape due to a skin problem called Demodex, but luckily it's easily treatable with medication and baths. In a couple of months, you won't even know it affects him in any way whatsoever!
He is still very shy and nervous, but he comes around quickly. He just needs a lot of reassurance in the beginning. He is especially afraid of walking on a leash and being outside. I think he must have had a very hard life despite his young age. He gets along excellently with my cats (who are very unfriendly!) and my little dog Lola. He is very playful, but gentle so he will probably be great with kids too.
He rarely barks unless he gets really excited or there's a lot of commotion outside.
He would be a great addition to your life! He is small, quiet, gentle, and affectionate. He just needs a home and family of his own.

I will get some more up within the week! I don't have any that will do him any justice right now...
His tail is bigger than he is so when I'm around and trying to make him sit still, he wags his tail like crazy and keeps wobbling around. Sooooooo cute!!

Cupid went to the vet yesterday. His skin has improved so much! It's amazing what nutrition and a little TLC can do. He's still pretty skinny but luckily he has a healthy appetite so I am trying to fatten him up :)

Cupid's doing great! He is so playful and has so much love to give. It's hard for him to fight for attention in my home with 4 other animals :( His hair is growing back so you can barely tell that his skin was suffering so badly just a few weeks ago. Give him a chance!

Cupid, my precious little foster, is doing wonderfully! He's getting braver on the leash every time we walk and he is now brave enough to climb up on the couch and cuddle with me. What a sweet little boy! He's definitely a little wary of strangers, but he's doing soooo well.

Cupid visited his new vet yesterday to finish up his vaccinations. He still is taking meds for his skin but all in all he is completely healthy!! :) He just needs to be neutered and some baby teeth extracted and he is DONE! Yay Cupid!

Cupid is officially neutered and has had his pesky puppy teeth extracted and some light scaling. He's already back to normal. We're treating his demodex with oral meds and there's already been some improvement. He is not a fan of the vet, that's for sure, but we're going back to get his stitches out this Saturday.
Cupid needs a forever home to call his own! He is a such a playful, fun little character, but he can be timid around strangers. I fear the longer he's with me, the more difficult it will be for him to adjust to a new home. He's such a wonderful, gentle dog. Please give him a chance! :)

Sorry for the lack of updates! I had a family emergency and had to go to the States for a week. Cupid is doing so much better socially. He had some issues with strangers; he would cower and be nervous. But yesterday he came right up to my friend he had never seen and said hello :)
Also, he's now brave enough to sleep in bed with us (me, my boyfriend, my dog, and my cat...crowded!) all night. He even tried to jump up on his own last night, though that didn't work out for the poor guy. At first he would always jump down soon after we picked him up. Then he started sleeping at the foot. And now he's right up next to my arms. I'm so proud of him and when I think about that poor little dog in the styrofoam box back in January, I can't believe it's the same dog!!!
He's healthy! He's neutered! He's vaccinated! He's good on a leash (getting better every time!)! He's gentle! He rarely barks! I love this dog :)

He looks like a girl with this pink blanket, but still soooo adorable! Who woulda thunk he'd have such big beautiful eyes? He's such a wonderful dog and he deserves the best! :)

Cupid's pet sitter while I was in the States has fallen for Cupid! She and her awesome hubby are filling out an adoption application. They couldn't believe how sad they were to give him back when I came home. And Cupid actually whined by the door when they left! He's made so much progress... he's great with kids, great on the leash, and no longer afraid of everything. My heart is bursting with happiness for Cupid. What a special little boy. Let's hope this is the family for him :)
