Her story:
Sooty is a beautiful black and tan Jindo was found near the iPark Mall in Yongsan. She was hungry and dirty but very friendly so despite not being much of a dog person I decided to take her home. I have not been able to locate the dogs owner and I cannot take care of her any longer. If she isn't adopted by this weekend I'll have to take her to a no-kill shelter.
Sooty is between 3-7 years old. She isn't 100 percent housebroken but she is very smart and learning quickly. She doesn't bark, doesn't bite and doesn't chew on anything she shouldn't. Vet says she looks healthy except for a little dandruff. She is great with children, fantastic with other dogs and she will let anyone pet/hold her.
She is an absolutely wonderful dog looking for a person or family that can give her the love she deserves.
Edit: She stayed at home all day today and didn't have a single accident (5 hours). She is such a good girl^^
Edit: I can only keep her for another day or two before I have to take her to the shelter. I would love to find her a home or a foster family before that.

She loves sun-bathing on our private roof in the afternoon and she sleeps inside our apartment all night and through most of the day. Sometimes I take her to school with me as she loves the attention she gets from my students.
She doesn't beg when my wife and I are eating, she doesn't bark when our neighbours come home, and she doesn't jump up on people.

I think I can help with fostering her. There are two issues: I will be on holiday from 31 March- 7 April...so I'd need to find someone who could look after, I don't really have that large of a contact base in Korea. I'll try looking on the ARK FB page but if you (or Clare) have suggestions or can help me find someone that'd be awesome. Also, I have a kitten, you said Sooty is good with other dogs, but have you seen her around cats? I've babysat a few smaller dogs and they pretty much ignored each other. I don't want to come home to find cat all over my place (terrible imagery, but you catch my drift)

I'm honestly not sure how she is around cats but she completely ignores other dogs except for giving them a cursory sniff when they first meet. I'd have to check with my wife but if no one else wants to we'll probably be able to take her in for the week you are on vacation.

She's gorgeous!! Graeme, are you a member of the ARK Facebook page? I am going to post her on there. It's a great resource in spreading the word about animals in need. Please try to hang on to her if at all possible before taking her to the shelter! Hopefully we can find someone to foster her before she goes in there...once they're in a shelter it can take a while for them to get out.
Fascinationstreet - where are you located? It would be wonderful if you could foster her and you guys could come to an agreement about the holiday period. Perhaps you could post/ask on the FB ARK page as well as the FB SK petsitting network? I'm sure someone will step up to help.

graeme- I'd have to see how she reacts to my kitten. I know the cat will probably be scared at first but so long as sooty doesn't show any signs of aggression towards her, or any desire to chase/rough play then I think this can work. I'm not able to come out during the weekday or this weekend but could we meet next weekend? I'd be able to come out to where you are.
Clare- I'll make a post on both pages. I'm sure I can find someone that'd be willing to help. I'm located in the pyeongtaek area, so I'm pretty central to alot of the bigger surrounding cities. hopefully this works out, I'd love to help her and keep her from the shelters

It may be possible to keep her a while longer ill have to talk it over with my wife. I have a friend of mine posting flyers up at the Yongsan military base to see if any soldiers would be interested in adopting her.
