Description:

**Update- A wonderful lady will take Mochi home tomorrow! I'm so happy for both of them.

Mochi is from a family that was fed on the streets here in Seoul. The mother is tame, but lives outdoors with various people feeding her. Someone took Mochi home one day (I wasn't there when they took him), only to bring him back in a bag and hand him to me, asking me to take care of him. This was not long after Valentine's Day. We named him Mochi because he looks like he got into the flour that's used for rice cakes to keep them from getting too sticky.

He sits happily purring on your lap, and he sleeps tucked against you. He is so friendly that I can't believe he ever lived outside. Mochi is a very clean little boy, and will bury his business so far down in the litter, it's like an archaeological dig just cleaning it out. (This is awesome! You can pretend to be Indiana Jones. Oh, and the smell is buried almost immediately.) Still a kitten, he's adorably clumsy and full of energy, but also pretty laid-back if you aren't in the mood to play. He loves being near other cats or a person, but he's not particularly needy. Mochi entertains himself pretty well. He can make a toy out of anything. Whenever he falls asleep, his head falls like a rock to meet whatever surface he's lying on. It's one of the funniest habits I've ever seen in a cat. He makes me laugh even when he is sleeping. He doesn't scratch anything other than a scratching post or cardboard (so far), and he doesn't eat bizarre things like plastic or wallpaper. (One of my cats does this.) He is not interested in human food, so he doesn't bother you at the stove, but he's curious and usually fearless, so he may stick his head in your bowl to see what's in there. I catch the booger sometimes drinking from my mug when there's water in it, though. He's very vocal, especially at meal times. Mochi's the nicest kitty in my house, and he needs a home not full of bitter older kitties.

Mochi isn't old enough to be neutered yet. He has the standard vaccinations for his age, and also a ringworm vaccination. He had a very small spot of ringworm on his foot, but it's been treated and as far as I (and my vet) can tell, cured. (It's been approximately one month since I have seen any other spots and he was given medication for it.) If you are uncomfortable with my assessment, I can always refer you to the vet who has been treating him and the rest of my cat farm. I currently have four other cats, and they aren't exactly thrilled with this situation.
