I am happy to report that TK was adopted! His new family is wonderful and love him so much. He has moved to a smaller city so he will get to enjoy fresher air! :)
September 23rd
Now that the weather is cooler, TK has a lot more energy during his walks! When we go to the park, he loves to walk in the long grass. I think it tickles his belly :)
This past month, I focused on teaching TK to be more calm while I'm preparing his food. He used to jump all around spastically, but not he sits calmly. I ask him to sit until I put the dish on the floor, and he's very obedient. Now, I'm working on teaching him to shake hands before I give him food or treats. He's very eager to please, so I hope he will learn soon.
This weekend I took him to a rooftop BBQ. Everyone commented on how well behaved he was. He made friends with a female Boston Terrier named Gogi, received lots of cuddles from new human friends and was perfectly behaved. Even though there was food within his reach, he didn't try to sneak some.
Everyone who meets TK comments on how soft his fur is. He is the softest dog I've ever met. Just like a cuddly teddy bear! :)
August 9th
TK has been one busy dog!! His buddy Biscuit was adopted last month, so TK was a little sad for a couple of days. Now, he is back to his playful, cuddly self! He is making new doggy friends when we go for walks in the park, and has perfect manners when meeting new dogs as well as people. I have noticed that he has a special interest in children. When he hears their voices or seems them in the distance, his ears perk up and he walks towards them.
TK does so well on public transportation. He sits calmly and is so relaxed during the trip. He has been on subways, city buses, taxis and even a ferry! He is truly so easy to take anywhere!! When going to an outdoor restaurant or cafe, he either sits on the ground or in a chair. He is a gentleman and doesn't beg for food :) He does extremely well in any new situation. I have taken him to restaurants, the bank, the beach, the airport (just picking up my mom), and many new neighbourhoods in Seoul.
TK is so unusual in that he loves to go to the animal hospital. We have been many, many times for vaccinations, grooming and checkups. Even after the vet injects him with a needle, he turns around and gives kisses. He loves to meet the other dogs that are there, and receive attention from the friendly staff. When we walk towards the building, he starts to pull on the leash because he can't wait to get inside. When it's time to leave, I have to carry him out. He just wants to stay!!
I truly love having this dog in my life. He is full of love and his playful attitude makes me smile everyday :) I really don't think he is capable of being in a bad mood. His new mom, dad, or family will be very lucky to have him!
TK arrived at KAPS in 2012. A dedicated volunteer fell in love with him, and his buddy Biscuit. The volunteer found a sponsor for both pups, and we checked their health & got them into foster care with a great foster in Seoul.
Originally our sponsor wanted to bring them to the States for a home, as she did for Red and Jojo, but it has proven difficult to find them homes there.
These boys are SO CUTE and sweet. TK's favorite thing is to be held in your arms on his back - like a baby ^.^ We are confident their best friend is out there wanting to care for TK, Biscuit, or both these little guys! The boys are buddies, but they can be homed separately.

Here's the ABC's of flying with a snub-nosed breed - TK and Biscuit may also qualify as carry-on with certain airlines! Flying a pet just takes awareness and preparation... a short flight is worth it for a lifetime together.
If you would like to adopt TK, please email KAPS.Adoption(at)gmail.com. We will ask you to fill out a short application. We then ask some follow-up questions. Should your application be approved, we will schedule a meeting with you, your family, the pup, and the foster. Should the meeting go well, you can adopt that day. Adoption typically take between 5 and 7 days from the date of inquiry. KAPS continues to support their adopters by emailing to check in and see if there is anything we can do to assist you and your pup transition to your new life together.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi "training3hearts",
Thank you for your interest in TK! He's such a sweet boy. If you are interested adopting TK, please email me at [email protected] for an application form. Of course, you do not need to fill out the application form in order to meet him, but it is KAPS policy that you submit one if you decide TK is the right dog for you!
I look forward to hearing from you.
In rescue,
Sara @ KAPS

I just got an auto generated email saying the coordinator is on vacation in her home country and will respond in 5-7 days. I am assuming then a visit this weekend may not be possible.
Thanks.

Hi training3hearts,
The adoption coordinator is Sara "hakuna.matata" so she is aware of your interest in TK. You do not have to be approved before meeting TK, only if you are interested in adopting.
So, this weekend is a perfect time for you to meet TK. After meeting him, you can think about it for a few days to determine if he is the right dog for you. Then, once your adoption application has been approved, and any questions you have are answered, we can meet again for you to take him home.
