After more than a year waiting for his forever home after being dumped by his first family and rescued by KAPS Daegu Wordsworth has finally found his forever home. He has been adopted by a couple who had previously adopted another Shih Tzu pup from KAPS. So Wordsworth now has a Mum, Dad, and a new sister!!
I am so happy that he finally has the forever home he deserved.
Here he is going for a run:
In the house he loves snuggling while you watch TV and will happily sleep tucked in next to you, or on you if you let him! He has really lovely curly hair which makes him very cute, but also very strokable.
He is not a snorer, or a big barker but will bark if someone comes to the door or while playing with other dogs.
He loves his toys, he flips them over his head and rolls on them. He also loves playing fetch, a game he is only just learning can be played outside too.
Here he is demonstrating all his adorable silliness:
He loves people and will try to say 'hello' to everyone when you are out walking. He is great with kids and loves young teenagers - all of whom he thinks are my students and therefore automatic best friends, who should be licked on sight.
Wordsworth is up-to-date on his vaccinations until mid 2014. He is neutered and heartworm free and microchipped.
Wordsworth is looking for a foster or forever home as soon as possible. His Foster Mum wants him settled in well before she leaves in February.
He has a pet sitter of his very own who is happy to take him if you return the favour when she goes away. Wordsworth and her dog Belle are best friends, so are easy to have together, even in a small apartment.
Please consider this fabulous little pup who has been waiting patiently for his forever home for over a year now. He is a great little dog who really deserves his own person.

Just a quick update...Belle and Wozzy have done a great job getting along. They both fight for who gets cuddles first when I walk through door. It is a mad dash to be the first one on my lap. As of right now, I have one on top of my lap and the other lounged across my lower legs. It is official, BFF collars can now be made. Belle, always the gracious host, even shares her "big bed" with Wozzy and now both dogs can chill on top of the big person bed. Wozzy really enjoyed meeting some new friends that lived upstairs. The kids really showed him a great time. This little bundle of joy will make an excellent addition to any loving home!

That's simply adorable. It's really a relief to hear that he's doing so much better. It's exciting, too, to know that he and Belle are BFFs!

Quick update on the wee man. He got his first vaccinations today. Bit scary, fingers crossed they won't affect him at all, but still. Right now he is playing, bouncing and eating as though nothing happened, lets hope he keeps it up.
Here's a video from our dog walk yesterday.

Wozzy is now neutered and his final vaccinations are on April 21st. Our vet is so happy with him, so strong and healthy. But don't be fooled, he may be a long way from the tiny ball of fluff I picked up in November from the shelter, but he is still very much a puppy! And he is really looking forward to having a home of his own. Please let us know if you would like to meet him.

Wozzy had a great time hanging our with KAPS Founders Grandson. It took them a whike to get to know each other but before long they were sharing juice and straws.

Luna and I were out for nearly half an hour this morning. I set up the camera and recorded Wozzy while we were out. He barked for the first 2 minutes, but then quietened down. He is still doing quite a bit of panting and pacing, but by about 20 minutes he was lying down and seemed resigned to waiting. Fingers crossed he can keep improving.

I saw a few interested in him. Any possible new home for the little bugger? If you need a break, you can bring him over. Belle wouldn't mind.

What a fabulous resumé Wozzy! It was a very clever way to attract the attention of prospective employer/owners. Bravo! All the best on your search.

Oh my Goodness! Wozzy's resume is true to his form. Wozzy is a seriously fun dog. As Belle's human, I watch the two play wrestle all day long. Wozzy has his own attitude which is a real riot to watch and talk to. When I talk to him, he seriously seems to answer back. He truly wants to please whomever he is with. Any family would be very lucky to have such a giving companion around him. All Belle and I ask is that we can still have our play dates as Belle really does love him. I believe they are planning a "ceremony" around the age of 4. They need to experience life first.

I seriously love reading about life in the eyes of this little guy! Kudos to the writer for keeping us entertained while delivering us the harrowing details of Wordworth's struggles & victories lol. I have a Shih-tzu myself but keeping 2 dogs of the same breed has been advised against so much & I don't believe it's the best thing for my dog either but I am PULLING for Wordsworth. Hang in there lil man :)

Woz went to get his teeth cleaned today so he is feeling a bit icky. He will soon be heading to his best friend Belle's house and Luna and I will head home. He remains up for adoption, and if there is no interest over the next few months I will be shipping him back to me in the UK. However he and Luna aren't best buds, as he is such a pup and she is such a grouchy old lady, so cross your fingers that the young man gets a home of his own. Thanks for all your good wishes and interest in him, Belle's Mom will be keeping you updated in the future.

Huge thank you to everyone who donated when Woz was sick and have generally remained interested in him. After more than a year in foster care he has finally been adopted by a lovely couple. They had previously adopted another Shih Tzu from KAPS so Woz now has a sister too.
Thanks again, your help really was fundamental in saving his life so he could go on to lead a happy healthy life with his forever family and I am so grateful to you all for supporting me through his illness. He is a fabulous guy and I wish him and his new family all the best.
